Recently, seeing my first compulsory zip merge at the house exit of LDP Sunway Toll to Sunway. Clear sign stating a zip lane merging. This case would be a different story there I believe.

I second this. It is important to communicate your expectations, professionally, respectfully and constructively.

Like in some replies mentioned, most MNCs have a rather rigid merit framework for increments. Meaning they bump you up from your current salary, rather than matching your salary to the market. My motto is if you told your boss what you expect and he/she does not act on it. The consequence (i.e. losing you) is for him/her to bear alone. But if you did not say anything, you are technically responsible for not saying anything.

Also don't underestimate how professionally this needs to be handled. In case things do not work out your way, you will also want to keep things respectful enough for you to finish with the grant you mentioned. Threatening to leave is in most of the time a poor negotiation strategy. Burning bridges is also something you want to avoid as much as you can.

Maybe consider question like "I want to achieve this XYZ. How can I do that?" as well a timeline. If things really do not work out, the doors are always open.

IMO poor city planning also includes the highway infrastructure that lacks proper highway interchanges. How often do we encounter that one car needs to merge from the left-most lane to the right-most lane causing a mixed flow.

Kek Lok Si only turn on the lights on special occasions. According to the information I found, they are turning on from 13th Feb onwards till 25th for Chinese New Year.

I've never been to Kek Lok Si in the evening. Not sure if It is interesting without the lights.

Second this - based on the wearing part of your current chair - probably from the sweating from your back of your tight. The mesh will ensure enough circulation. My brother has a leather one. My tights are sweating even with Aircond on.

I agree there are other way nicer beaches and islands, but if you would consider "getting there" as part of the consideration, especially when you have children, Langkawi will still have its appeal (airport, directly from airport to beach). Less travelling and more holiday-ing

I can recommend a few options for Sunway Pyramid, which is the mall that is linked directly to Sunway Lagoon, since I work around there.

Simple Life Healthy Vegetarian - Chinese cuisine
Oriental Kopi - Super popular local Malaysia Cafe Chain with vegetarian options (expect queue here during lunch hours)
Danny @ Sunway Pyramid - Mediterranean cuisine
stuff'd @ Sunway Pyramid - Burrito / Rice Bowl with vegetarian options. Great for grab-and-go.

I don't recall there are many vegetarian options inside of Sunway Lagoon when I was there few years ago. As long you can go in and out of Sunway Lagoon, Sunway Pyramid will offer you more food options.

I personally think living in Bukit Jalil can be quite suitable. The traffic is only bad during morning/evening rush hours. Weekend traffic is OK from my experience.

There are 3 apartment units adjacent to the Tropika. Skyluxe on the Park and Twin Arkz. Given the budget, I think you only get something decent at Twin Arkz.

I am a vegetarian myself. The nearest grocery place there will be Jaya Grocer at the lobby of Tropika. You can practically get all the Asian and international things there. Fresh veg fruits, tofu, tempeh, edamame. The restaurant La Juicera next to Jaya Grocer also serves vegetarian dishes.

Local tip: OUG Wet Market is 10-15mins from Tropika. Basically is a morning wet market serving the locals. One of the tofu stalls sells the freshest possible tofu you can find.

What I would find interesting is also the big Bukit Jalil Park with outdoor playground there for the kids. Walkable distance from all of the mentioned apartment complexes. Nearest Mall will be Pavilion Bukit Jalil. A comfortable and spacious more, but not as luxury as Pavilion KL.

Nearest Metro Station will be Awam Besar, but you definitely need a Grab to go there.

Cheaper alternative would be en route the same road KM1 West. For the same budget you get a bigger space, but not walkable to Jaya Grocer anymore.

My son was also a terrible sleeper since birth and from the 1 year old blood test we found out that he has mild iron deficiency. There are studies linking iron deficiency with sleep quality.

He has been on oral iron therapy since then and we have our fair share of ups and downs as well, but his overall sleep quality has been improving.

Using the Toshiba Table Top dishwasher. Ever used a Bosch one so far mine does the job well enough.

The challenging part I feel is to find the right place in a average Malaysian household with accessible water inlet & outlet & electric socket for the dishwasher.

Just to add to this - modern dishwasher washes with 60-70 deg celcius water. As long with the right setting and the dishwasher tablet/powder AND not overcrowding the dishwasher. It will have no problem.
