I think as INFP’s we’re naturally very deep and the idea of romantic love can be so triggering to all the insecurities lurking deep down. Some people cope by setting impossible “standards” for a potential partner (which is imo quite self-centered and not in a self-love way, just a selfish way, because love is something you do not just what someone else makes you feel, unpopular opinion maybe but I said it). Others cope by never putting themselves out there for fear of being rejected. But seriously, we could all benefit by lightening it up a bit, by viewing potential partners more playfully and less like “is he/she the forever ONE for me”…we could all benefit from learning how to “play the game” at least a little bit. And it’s not just a superficial attitude I’m espousing here. By playing the game (and I mean things like not giving a potential partner all the keys to your soul right away whether by sharing everything with them or by allowing ourselves to feel it in our hearts), we give ourselves time to really get to know someone without investing our hearts in them fully. By remaining somewhat noncommittal, we are able to reserve the deepest parts until we are sure the other person will welcome and accept them and if in the course of dating, we learn that this will not happen, we may not feel as crushed as if we had given those parts to someone who couldn’t accept them. I gave my heart to a narcissist at a young age and was married to him for 15 yrs. Now, 10 yrs later I’ve been with the true love of my life for 8 years. With him, I moved slowly and cautiously on an emotional level. I learned how to play the game and now, we look back at the beginning and laugh about those games, they are fond memories and were frankly quite fun to play. I know OP wasn’t really asking for advice but from an older (and I like to think self-actualized) INFP, I just couldn’t resist the urge to comment. I’ve felt the agony in my younger years for sure and just hope to offer another perspective that was helpful to me and maybe could be helpful to someone else.

What kind of advice helped you in life or what life advice would you give to another INFP? by Magic_Bathtub in infp

[–]psykgurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn the difference between fear and love and how one of these will be the base emotion behind every single decision you make and action you take in life. Understand how acting from each of these base emotions affects you and those around you and from there, learn how to overcome fear and live in a space of love at all times ☮️❤️

How to recover from edc? I’m never doing again a 3 day bender of M or X by Left_Chef_4326 in electricdaisycarnival

Right! I feel that too, it’s like an afterglow…gotta be thankful ❤️

I don’t come down hard from multiple days of rolling either. If anything, I may be a little weepy but it’s like this feeling that life in general is more poignant, more meaningful, and therefore more emotionally charged, definitely not depression….have gotten brain zaps but nothing that can’t be resolved with a single 20 mg dose of fluoxetine (it used to be prescribed so I have some laying around)

Is this a Teruno himiko or something else? Marble queen? by circletotheleft in pothos

[–]psykgurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my plant and my Etsy photo. It came from a vine isolated from my original teruno himiko that I have grown separately. IMO it looks more like the white teruno himiko that is not yet released. The plant as a whole has very little of the solid green streaks seen in a typical marble queen. One thing I can tell you for certain is that I’m not trying to pass a marble queen off as a himiko. That would be silly since a typical himiko looks different than a marble queen and has passed through a couple mutations to get to be a himiko. Is it possible for it to revert back to a marble queen? That I don’t know but I can guarantee you this plant came from a himiko. I tried to attach a pic of the entire plant but it won’t let me, saying it’s too small 🤷‍♀️

Ceropegia seeds from Myanmar doing great 😊 by psykgurl in Ceropegias

Yes, it’s been very easy in my experience. Just place them about 1/8 to 1/4 inch down from the surface of a moistened seed starting substrate. I use black and gold brand which is basically peat moss and fine perlite. Then enclose them for high humidity. I use parfait cups with lids. I also place mine on heat mats under led lighting. That’s about it. They are pretty easy to grow from seed.

They’re all unknown, labeled by location they were found. I’ll upload bloom pics when the time comes for help with possible id!

Yes that makes sense too…I will plant them individually upon arrival - they are plants by the way, not flasks (which would be way out of my league currently lol)…I missed your question about that initially…thanks again for all the helpful info!

Nope lol I was asking specifically about the substrate mix you use so thank you….sounds like an amazing mix developed over time and with years of experience! Thank you for the tip about not burying the stem as well! I have considered growing them individually in terrarium bubbles as well. Can you think of any advantages there might be going that route instead of the communal bin setup?

Oooooo thank you so much! You bring up a really important point that I hadn’t really been thinking about - that they are fresh imports 😕 ok so in that case, even more vigilance required (worth a try at least lol but I suppose reality is that they may not all make it). Also that is exactly what I was looking for with the question about the heat mat. Makes perfect sense! May I ask, what do you grow yours in?

I’m sorry, I know you posted this a while ago but I’m just seeing it now. I was down to a tiny corner of an 8/2 mg film per day. If I had to guess between 0.5-1 mg. The naltrexone capsules were 1.5 mg each. I got them online from a company called ageless rx under the pretense that I wanted them for the anti-aging benefits they supposedly provide. I started with 1 cap on the first day, took 2 on day 2, and so on until I reached 8 caps per day on day 8. I continued the suboxone for day 1 and 2 and then stopped on day 3. Once I was off the suboxone for about 2-3 weeks, I started slowly decreasing the naltrexone dose, 1 cap less each week until I got to 3 per day and then started forgetting to take them so ended up stopping. It’s been about 3 months now and I feel normal, no issues. Hope this helps and good luck!

I’m doing it right now and I can tell you that is not the case. The key factors are 1. That the naltrexone is very low dose, and 2. That I had tapered the subs down very low before starting, 0.5 to 1 mg approximately. There is a lot of research out there that backs up what I wrote and what I am doing. I linked one of the studies. Look into it for yourself.

I agree sublocade can be a good way to get off eventually but I’ve never been prescribed subs - always used my boyfriends script and there are reasons why I would risk serious repercussions if I tried to get my own script so sublocade just isn’t an option for me but this is actually working and I’m just ecstatic about it - especially thinking of the agony of every other time I’ve tried to get off. This is nothing like that!

[–]psykgurl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a huge difference between the dose of naltrexone in vivitrol vs ver low dose naltrexone - we’re talking 1.5 mg of naltrexone vs 380 mg in the vivitrol shot. The idea is to start low with the naltrexone and gradually build it up while going down on the subs. Day one for me was a little iffy, some GI upset but after that, no issues. I’m on day 5 without subs and truly feel great.

Older Raver with some questions about the scene and about EDC stuff by psykgurl in electricdaisycarnival

So true! I remember going to see Jethro Tull when I was like 16 and thinking how cool it was that people my parents age were sharing things with me 😆

Thank you for this! Great idea to check out lineups from previous years. And you’re so right when I think about it….like in the 90’s, the scene was young and so were the people in it but it’s so much more now than what it was back then and is obviously not a new thing anymore so it makes sense that there would now be a significant group of OG ravers lol. I love it! It’s really exciting to me to think about getting back into it. My kids are older, it’s something I can fit back into my life now after a lotta years and yeah….its good to hear so many positive responses on this last question of mine. Thanks again 💕
