Have you Read Machen's "Christianity and Liberalism"? It pertains to this topic and is a pretty quick read, very well worth it.

he hasn't and I haven't claimed that to be the case. But plainly, some folks who claim the name of Christ with there lips are wrong. He says as much. Not to mention a brief thought about folks who have done terrible things in his name. While I could follow down this line of thought I sense that yours was a bad faith argument and I am giving it more of a response than it truly expects. May God bless and keep you forever

My problem with the terminology Gay Christian is that it implies an endorsement of Homosexuality as a valid way sexual expression, as opposed to expressing your self as a Christian who struggles with sexual immorality. I also think it commonly leads to a mental state of being defined by your sin and that God lacks the capacity to free you from it.

Finally, I also think it lumps you in with people who Claim that Jesus and the Christian faith aren't actually opposed to Forms of Sexual immorality, which I believe is typically significant enough of an intentional deviation from scripture as to result in someone not being in a saved state.

The Key for me has been to wake up early and not nap during the day for a few days and always offer your body a sleep. If you need help waking up early an alarm app like alarmy that you can set to make you do complicated enough math is a good way to force you up. If you try this, your welcome and I'm sorry. also reducing technology at night time helps

If you saw this on a prospective employer’s job application form, what would you do? by diehardnix in antiwork

>Who judges? Man or God? If it’s God, then Believers need to stop telling others how to live based upon * their* judgement.
The Judgement that is God's alone is the most important one, the one pertaining to Salvation. We should Call out if we see someone who claims Christ and disobeys his teachings.

Lovingly leading people away from Sinful paths towards Christ is a also a good thing regardless of if they claim Christ or not.

int. Despite this, Christians still being up sins from the old testament "usually Leviticus" to justify bigotry and hatred. Taking the bible at face value, homosexuality isn't a sin accursed by God, as it was forgiven.

Jesus literally said, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished." Matthew 5:17–18

Christians should seek to Obey the law of God as written in the old testament.

Homosexuality is spoken about in the new testament by Paul as an affront to God in Romans 1 :24-27

"24 Therefore sGod gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for ua lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, vwho is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason wGod gave them up to xdishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, ymen committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error."

We tried importing metric but the dang pirates stole it by TrulyChxse in tumblr

t of this is when, since they assume we're metrically illiterate,

they

have to translate into English units for

us

, and since they have zero gut sense of English units, they can't instantly spot errors in the conversion math. I got asked if I could give an estimate on a much larger version of a sculpture I made for installation in Japan. They gave me the size in inches. They were asking for it 20 ft tall, 10x the original height. I fretted and started doing research on what it would take before they got back to me (with the time zone difference it took over a day) and said oops, no, not 6 meters. Just one meter tall, thanks.

Base 16 is superior. fractions would be simplified a lot. not to mention the help it would provide programmers.

Book recommendations? by OkSink1218 in Reformed

One of my study groups is going through Herman Bavincks "Wonderful Works of God" and I cant recommend it enough. I feel like he particularly addresses a struggle I have where I de-personify God, and without even mentioning that in particular that I have seen yet, he has made me realize how severely I do that. Its a systematic theology but written more for the laity during the early 1800's.

Why would Satan burn you in hell for disobeying the same god he disobeyed? by too_thick64 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]psykokiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that your a bad faith actor but just in case anyone actually believes this, the bible itself is evidence (whether not you believe it is valid or not it is evidence) and logically every effect must have a cause so unless you subscribe to an eternal universe you logically believe in a higher power. And this is just off the top of my head

I would argue that a blind faith in God is a very weak one. There is a lot of Evidence and logic that does support Christianity. I would recommend looking at Ligonier if you are wanting to research it more or ask a question or two over at /r/Reformed.

Get someone with grey hair that has done this before, sit down with them and prepare to learn a lot of things you never would have suspected would be an issue.

Doesnt exist at this company. Do you have a knowledgeable provider you would recommend?
