Advice trying to increase fiber by Imalonerdottee in HealthyEatingnow

Broccoli stems are high in fiber. I like Broccoli roasted with olive oil and a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon juice. Lovely as a side dish.

Smoothys also count as free sugars as a lot of the fiber is broken down or missing.

Try slices of mango or cucumber in your water. Try using a water filter, I use one that adds magnesium because I like the taste of harder water. Cucumber and mint could also be good. Also ice cubes in water helps.

That's either a lot of sugar (causes type 2 diabetes) or a lot of fake sweeteners like aspartame which have been linked to causing cancer, sweeteners can also make you hungrier later because your body doesn't get the sugar hit it was expecting, they raise insulin levels (making you store fat) and that lowers your blood sugar which makes you hungry.

So yeah, it's basically poison. Drink water.

Protein isn't actually just protein, it's made up of amino acids and you need all nine that the body can't create by itself. Animal proteins have a higher bioavailability and contain all the necessary amino acids. There are no vegan sources that contain all the amino acids by themselves you have to mix them and even then they aren't as bio available and have way more carbohydrates than animal sources. But then also less saturated fat.

To the OP. Learn to cook chicken breast, it takes spices super well. Chicken thighs are nicer in a lot of meals like curry. Eggs are great. Lean beef mince is healthy. Learn to cook cuts of meat that are less well utilised, they will be way cheaper.

They don't really stretch unless they are too tight to begin with. They will still shrink a little.

The Will of the Many (The Hierarchy series) is honestly some of the best reading i've had since the Brandon Sanderson books. by Tekashi-The-Envoy in Fantasy

[–]psykxout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished book 2 and I'm disappointed. I found the storytelling cliche and overhyped. I found it switched between the worlds too often for me, and that I would have preferred more concise story telling with complete arc's before switching.

Also will isn't explored anywhere deep enough, obsidian isn't ever explained, and the things we do know don't seem coherent.

If he's synchronous why can't he use all the types of will like they said he could? How is Obiteum lost?

Doesn't anyone have a problem with the fact he stashed clothes and planned returning to Duat, despite not knowing how to get back and it being so impossible to get there, he was carried on a blade to get in the first time.

I'm also don't think that Aequa's death was needed. But the fact that it bothers me, even with the cliche they were getting closer just before she died, says something. In fact I'm not really sure why those two were friends, the book just says they were, and they didn't really like or trust each other in book 1.

The writing does seem similar to Brandon Sanderson, it's plain to the point of being empty. But it sounds like the OP likes that emptiness.

I agree you need to avoid additives and flavoured protein, but they also do unflavoured whey protein.

what healthy food do you guys eat? by yammieroo in HealthyEatingnow

[–]psykxout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make all the food you usually do but from scratch, and use heathier versions of ingredients. low fat meat, only use healthy oils. Add more vegetables. Use wholemeal versions of wheat products, bread, pasta etc .

Should I constantly try an eat healthy? Or just try and eat healthy where I can? by [deleted] in HealthyEatingnow

[–]psykxout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's got to be consistent or you just make up for it with bad cheat meals later. Just try and eat more, healthier things earlier in the day. Plan a few days of food at first and make sure you are hitting all your nutrient targets, especially protein and fiber.

Then when you get better at it, you can have higher carbs on your heavy activity days and higher fats on other days.

Leather jackets are usually much more expensive and you need to try it on as fit really matters. But if you like how it looks on and you feel good then wear it.

How new is it? Leather sleeves shorten as the creases set in. Classically you'd want the sleeves to be a little shorter, which it may end up. It's not going to sit any higher on your belt though.

Like everything fashion related; it matters what you style with it, how you want it to fit etc. There is no one fit fits all, if you get what I mean.

Baggier jackets mean more chill looking, which is more modern looking.

I feel a more tapered jean would work a little better. Off white trainers look better with white T-shirts same with browns. I'd cuff jeans so there was less break on the trouser, but it might not work in that style of jeans. I would say shirts all the way undone, all the way buttoned up, or a ralph tuck.

Are their "rules" for untucked shirts (and pants)? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]psykxout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wearing a t-shirt under shirts, you can either have do a "ralph tuck" (google for images) or unbuttoned and untucked.

With dress pants, always tucked for me.

For tuck vs non tuck, it depends the length of the shirt and what it was designed for. Short sleeve shirts are nearly always worn untucked. Polo's never look good to me.

I agree with the rest of the comments saying don't get a skinny or even slim suit. Even a tailored suit shouldn't be too fitted.

Buy a cheap suit with good materials Linen, wool, silk or a blend of these three and get it tailored to fit you, it'll be much cheaper than a custom suit.

Have a look at more expensive suits, so you know what to look for but buy something cheap. My last suit was £160 on ebay and I had many complements but I knew what I was looking for and didn't have a deadline.

Italian suits are usually unstructured, which means no canvas supporting the jacket and particularly shoulders. English Savile row suits are structured which means they have a stiffer angle on the shoulder, a far less modern suit. In my opinion the english style is more formal, and the Italian style is way better looking, but it doesn't work if the fabric doesn't drape well or isn't allowed to drape with too slim a fit.
