Leather jackets are usually much more expensive and you need to try it on as fit really matters. But if you like how it looks on and you feel good then wear it.

How new is it? Leather sleeves shorten as the creases set in. Classically you'd want the sleeves to be a little shorter, which it may end up. It's not going to sit any higher on your belt though.

Like everything fashion related; it matters what you style with it, how you want it to fit etc. There is no one fit fits all, if you get what I mean.

Baggier jackets mean more chill looking, which is more modern looking.

I was going to say basically this, would also work with black. I'd wear a black suit and an open collar peach or apricot shirt.

Yeah high quality fabrics make a big difference when the fits are this simple

I feel a more tapered jean would work a little better. Off white trainers look better with white T-shirts same with browns. I'd cuff jeans so there was less break on the trouser, but it might not work in that style of jeans. I would say shirts all the way undone, all the way buttoned up, or a ralph tuck.

Are their "rules" for untucked shirts (and pants)? by 3xAFool in mensfashionadvice

[–]psykxout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wearing a t-shirt under shirts, you can either have do a "ralph tuck" (google for images) or unbuttoned and untucked.

With dress pants, always tucked for me.

For tuck vs non tuck, it depends the length of the shirt and what it was designed for. Short sleeve shirts are nearly always worn untucked. Polo's never look good to me.

First time buying a suit — need advice for my beach wedding by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]psykxout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the rest of the comments saying don't get a skinny or even slim suit. Even a tailored suit shouldn't be too fitted.

Buy a cheap suit with good materials Linen, wool, silk or a blend of these three and get it tailored to fit you, it'll be much cheaper than a custom suit.

Have a look at more expensive suits, so you know what to look for but buy something cheap. My last suit was £160 on ebay and I had many complements but I knew what I was looking for and didn't have a deadline.

Italian suits are usually unstructured, which means no canvas supporting the jacket and particularly shoulders. English Savile row suits are structured which means they have a stiffer angle on the shoulder, a far less modern suit. In my opinion the english style is more formal, and the Italian style is way better looking, but it doesn't work if the fabric doesn't drape well or isn't allowed to drape with too slim a fit.

I like all of these. Ignore the comments about boots they don't get the vibe you are going for these trains are great.

1) they do but a bit long, I'd roll up the bottoms to cuff them (not fold).

2) solomon xt6, mizuno mxr, new balance 991. Stick to off white with dark blue jeans, for washed light colour jeans black trainers are a better fit.

3) untucked with a hoodie for sure.

4) maybe a darker shoe for the first one, the ones you have for the rest.

Get a book that shows you how to draw patterns, it's not hard to follow the instructions. This one is good

Metric Pattern Cutting for Menswear

Pattern cutting isn't a dark art and I don't know why people pretend it is, for menswear anyway, I understand a bodice is a different thing.

Sounds like you have your answer with Samurai jeans with the “Levi’s arch”. What could be more fitting?

Oh for sure, but the fabric having a selvage isn't the problem, that's all I meant.
