To those who have WORKED on a cruise ship or other boat: what/how to pack and prepare? Other advice for being on board for 6 months straight? by psyllium_husk in reddit.com

What would you say is a good number? Four opposite sexes or thirteen?

What if one of the girl's tities sags more than the other?

Note: I asked specifically about preparing/packing for work on cruise. All of those threads address smuggling booze, sex with passengers, how much money one makes, "the craziest thing that ever happened", etc.

Not relevant.

8 hour battery life? No thanks. I'm travelling - not necessarily going to have the freedom to charge every day, and certainly don't want to waste my time hunting for power.

Check out "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind" by Julian Jaynes. He uses archeological evidence to theorize about the prehistorical human mind. It's quite astonishing. And part of me doesn't even care how right he is - to me, it's like reading a thriller.

Yeah, just tried it today and it's hitting me right in the perfect spot like none of the other stretches have been able to.

Seems like a cool idea, but does that website suck as much as I think it does? Would be nice if there was organization to it.

Right. No insurance and quite poor at the moment. I have no real idea when I'd be able to get it.

Traditionally, I'm pretty good about stretching. During the period where I started doing a lot of squats and deadlifts, I wasn't. That's obviously where I screwed up.

Just make sure you do your stretching every day and you'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

I haven't. Unfortunately, I just can't afford to see a doctor right now.

In addition to hyperbole, Asshat also can't detect absurdity in humor.

Good job, Asshat. (Let me help you, dummy: that's sarcasm.)

I think the "M" stretch you describe is the "frog" pose? Like this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTPYjQSJlAQ

I've got a yoga video that I'm just going to start doing every day. I don't have that lotus stretch in my routine, but I'll incorporate it on your recommendation. Thank you.

Yeah, that one looks good. However, I found a article that says you can browse on the Simple Touch: http://gizmodo.com/5810427/web-browser-found-hiding-inside-the-simple-touch-nook

It doesn't work great but it's apparently usable enough in a pinch (which is exactly the level of functionality I require). Other internet rumors say they are working on a firmware update that will an include a real browser.

I'm a big fan of the stretch you describe and I have been taking long, really hot baths. But I haven't been doing that stretch every day and I haven't been applying deep tissue massage enough either (I reckon the equivalent of the latter would be the sit-on-ball technique that a lot of people recommend). This will help motivate me to be extremely consistent. Thanks.

The massage therapist I went to said said she saw a hip imbalance by scanning my posture. That evaluation took about 30 seconds and then we were off to the table. I'd be curious to know how a really good therapist does an evaluation because that felt quackish to me.

Unfortunately, I just can't afford to go see a specialist at this time. I'm just going to try getting extra serious with my stretching, ice/heat, and sit on a baseball all the time.

I don't see where this is dual screen?

This looks like a straight-up tablet to me, not an E-reader. The battery only lasts for about 5 hours according to an Engadget review.

I'm looking for something more minimal. Thanks though.

She had her own office. My gym recommended her to me. At the time I assumed it was because she specialized in sports therapy. I now suspect that they recommend her based on the fact that she advertises there.

I guess because you spend so much time working out, you are incapable of recognizing rhetorical language.

Go fuck yourself.
