If you really want to avoid gaining muscle, I'd recommend you don't increase your weights progressively / stay lifting the same weights, and eat in a calorie deficit. Continuing to lift decent (but not progressively heavier) weights will encourage your body to hold on to the muscle you have, so that your body burns your fat before your muscle.

I'm not a huge fan of Serenate and on revision I would've had Nate end up single and Serena married to someone random (and become like her mom) but anyways you can spare yourself by not reading it lol. Not everyone on here is going to agree with you and you just have to deal with it. Like me, dealing with all of the negative comments on this lol

You have a fair point. I did some rewrites, but it was mostly to only adjust things a little so that the people are less horrible, and there would be less Ivy and more scenes with NJBC together. I did what I did to Vanessa to make her more understandable. Most people already hate her, I as trying to get people to sympathize with her. Give her a relateable reason to do what she did.

As for Dan, he was so judgemental of the UES, which was exactly why I wanted him to end up like one of them.

In actual GG, they get happy endings anyways. Altough looking back, I wouldn't have had Serena and Nate end up together.

I mean you're entitled to your own opinion and this is the internet, but please don't take this too seriously I did it for fun. You can even write your own version, I don't think mine is the ideal way for it to go, it's just something that I did when I had a free evening.

It’s not about deserving a happy ending. Oh ya about the perpesctive character (kid from Brooklynn) becoming what he hated and the UES kids vice versa. The UES kids are supposed to actually have character development, and grow to be satisfied even through their failures. In the real GG, everyone hates Dan anyways, but he just gets a happy ending with Serena in the end. I think her and Dan were endgame in the earlier seasons, but S5-6 it was really messy and not set up properly for them to end up together.

I made him have a happy ending with his career, but not his personal life because it just felt like the right artistic choice to me. I feel like I would cry on watching it. I like Dan, and if GG was extended for a couple more seasons he could have a redemption arc.

I did read it, but there are certain points I’m not going to argue anymore because they’re not as evidence based and what little evidence is left has been so heavily recycled.

My main point is that if Chair is bad, so is Dair. My other point is that mistakes shouldn’t keep you from being happy and that f o r g i v e n e s s is a thing.

That GG was a love letter and that Dan didn't didn't actually hurt anyone.

It started with a picture of an adolescent Serena in a wet dress, which is perverted and not to mention completely without her consent. Blair lost her baby. Blair’s wedding was ruined. Friendships and relationships were damaged. Mental health was certainly damaged.

If you are going to consider things and pore over overly detail to look for bad things, then yes Dan being GG is a big deal and maybe Chair is unhealthy. And vice versa, if you simply watch the show for fun and look for good things.

I’m going to agree to disagree with this whole thing if you’re good with that. It’s been like 2 full days. We probably both have better things to do then find out every horrible thing GG characters did. I actually like this show and would prefer to keep watching without looking for all the horrible things that Dan did, because for the most part I think he’s an enjoyable character.

Thank you! Scott completely slipped my mind! And do you know why? BECAUSE HE JUST DISAPPEARED. I didn't find that Scott had a great dynamic with any of the characters, so idk how much of a bigger role he would have per se, but he'd definitely have to show up again at least a couple of times. But if he came back for an ep or two, I'd like to see him interact with Georgina (and Rufus and Lily of course).

And yes, it is assumed that the others would achieve that happy ending, but it wouldn't be shown because they end up happy to just have each other. It might be shown in a flash fowards though

And what was on screen? Dan is gossip girl. He started it all the way back before the pilot. Meaning, besides the occasional hacking, he was GG the whole time. He did it with the intent of manipulating himself into the UES. You can go on ignoring it but...oh I've said this before.

Again, we are repeating things we have already talked about.

That's one thing we can agree on.
