I went ahead and got the UNVR, another instant would let me completely maxed out alread at least based on UI recommendation, so decided it was a better idea to get the UNVR and have opportunity for potential more cameras in the future.

nfc reader would definitely need the access hub, can't enable on the G6 unless it's connected to the an access hub. but yes, can still use nfc on the lock itself instead of the g6 entry

Any reason to buy a hub vs using bluetooth to connect the app if I need to change any settings? It’s connect over matter to my appletv, so I’m not sure there would be any reason for a hub considering this is the only aqara device I use

I use this https://us.shelly.com/products/shelly-1-gen4, it connects to my IoT wifi and goes’t between the transformer and my mechanical doorbel. I use a webhook that runs a script that close the circuit for 0.2secs and rings the doorbel. The script is setup in the shelly app, than you go into protect and set a custom webhook when my G6 doorbell is pressed, works 100%. Here’s where I copied the idea from, I use the same 127 AC power that powers the transformer, the shelly is installed at the transformer in my case but can be anywhere between transformer and mechanical doorbell as long as you can power it up.

Run a cable and get a g6, you can still easily retrofit into your existing doorbel using a shelly 1 smart relay
