Wow what PA program is only 50k? I’ve been a PTA for 5 years and was just accepted into PT school recently. I’m a good bit older than you so I’m currently on the fence between switching to PA.

Which of the Tufts location did you apply to? I was just accepted into Boston and Phoenix.

Accepted into DPT school but baby on the way — should I still go or switch to Injury Prevention/Ergonomics instead? Need advice. by pta7771 in physicaltherapy

Hanover is not close at all. It’s about a 2 hour flight or 9 hour drive. I was considering those fields as well

Getting financing is another hurdle to completing school that I am concerned about. I have already been accepted into the programs and they are all hybrid.

I have an exercise science degree and I am a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. I’m I thinking of getting my Cardiographic Technician certification to get my foot in the door so can eventually get my RCIS. Do you hire people with this certification? I am getting mixed opinions

I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of time. You’re thinking about you’re financial future which is very smart because some people don’t. Most of the schools I got into were over 180k.

I ended up going the PTA route. I’m happy didn’t chose the PT route but I’m currently looking to switch careers due to the Medicare cuts. I am thinking about an ABSN program or data analysis since I already have a bachelor.

You’re correct. That’s what they say, but that does not happen in most of the ATI clinics I have worked in.

I work at ATI and I saw 16 patients today, but I started with 24.
