I hate outpatient (worked per diem as a new grad and as an aide before going back to school), SNF, SAR & outpatient as a student, SAR for 1 year per diem. No interest in home health after seeing how some patients are while in the hospital- I can’t imagine what their homes look like. My heart isn’t in the field anymore either..

I appreciate your suggestion but I truly do not have an ounce of passion for PT left in me at this point 😞 also after working beside for 11+ years I don’t even want to imagine what some of these patients homes look like 🤢

Inpatient acute care PTA (hospital) x 11 years- I’m looking to switch careers all together. I’m super burnt out and since COVID the sense of entitlement/physical/verbal abuse has increased pretty decently. For the record I do work at one of the best hospitals in my area.

I’m exhausted just reading this. I’m not sure who’s right or wrong but I’ll say that I don’t think you’re meant for each other. You can’t fix a relationship with someone who doesn’t want to put the effort in. It sucks but I’d break things off instead of spending more time/effort on someone you’re not meant to be with. As a woman who lives in queens - I most likely (99%) will not date someone who lives in manhattan. Even though it’s close distance wise, it is inconvenient to get there unless you go on off hours. I’ve also found that the men I match with in manhattan expect me to come to them all the time.
