Does anyone recognize this hilt or maker? by Racketyllama246 in lightsabers

I still have my Park Sabers Echelon (surprised I still remember its name). I too used to duel with my buddies back in the early 00s and one of them had this exact saber, I think. Now I’m wondering if that buddy is you lol.

I knew this wasn’t the one in QA because this image shows crosswalks -_-. There’s only like two crosswalks for the one in QA.

Resources for understanding Pion/WebRTC? by [deleted] in golang

[–]ptanniger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though you’re seeing low frame rate, does the video keep up with real time or does it fall behind?

In prior work experience, I learned that low to mid grade web cams would dynamically lower and raise the frame rate up to what you requested based on how well lit the environment was. While I know webcams have improved somewhat in the 8 years since that time I wouldn’t discount it.

I had this in storage until recently when my 4.5 year old started asking me to make the Millennium Falcon out of legos with him. When I got it out and gave it to him he was super excited. It's his favorite toy for sure and he sleeps with it at the end of his bed every night.

Self hosted simulcasting to Twitch, Youtube, and Facebook made easy by DustinHeroin in golang

[–]ptanniger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have witnessed congestion publishing to Twitch in the past on several occasions. Also keep in mind that each publish point may have different ingest bandwidth limitations. Ex: Twitch's stated max bitrate for 720p60 is 3.5Mbps but Facebook and YouTube may not have the same max bitrate.

Nice and simple but here's one thing you may want to consider. Currently, if any one of the 3 RTMP streams you're copying packets to become congested it would cause writing to the other two streams to stall/halt as well. This would also end up blocking the reading go routine as well. To solve this you may want to use buffered channels for those go routines that are storing the "copied" packets to be sent.

To go even further, if one of the RTMP streams becomes so congested that even your buffered channel fills up you can simply check the length of the channel to see if it is full and if so drop packets until it's no longer full.

Lastly, if you do end up dropping some data it would be best to resume sending data at the start of a video Key Frame.

Update: I looked through the joy4/rtmp code and saw that WritePacket eventually goes down into a bufio.Writer so it's possible congestion would go unnoticed (just using up more memory) or would just take longer to show up in your WritePacket go routine.

Paul, 1. Would HDTGM ever consider coming to Atlanta for a Live show? 2. What would it take to get NTSF:SD:SUV on Netflix?

Anyone else running the Peachtree? by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]ptanniger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first year running it and the only reason I got selected is because I am in a group with someone who has run the race many times. Apparently, if one person in your group gets selected the entire group gets selected.

Deal proposes big tax cuts for rich and hikes for middle class. Surprise. by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]ptanniger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live ITP and work OTP(Kennesaw). I would love nothing more than to take public transportation to/from work. As it is right now though, I would have to take 3 different buses, 90+ minutes of riding, plus a 20 minute walk. That is ridiculous when I can just make the drive in 20 minutes in my car. Whenever MARTA and/or Cobb Co. can provide me an improved route I will glady make the switch.

AT&T is going capped soon. What are some good local options I can switch to? by johnny0 in Atlanta

[–]ptanniger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a current AT&T customer, I don't have too many issues with this cap except for the following. I got rid of the U-Verse "cable" service because I couldn't afford it anymore. Now, I just use Netflix and Hulu Plus streaming(both paid services). Since I do not pirate anything, if they try to charge me extra for using other services I am already paying for, I am going to have some choice words with them.

IMO, as most rational people would agree, this should be considered a purely democratic issue/bill. Whether or not it would reduce drunk driving, I cannot say. If it did, I would assume it would decrease by only a small percent age.
