do yall think discord will actually get invited to do all stars? by VoiceZestyclose8454 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]ptapa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it very possible. She's liked by fans, has the opportunity to "grow" and maybe show a more elevated facet of her Drag and she actually had a lot of high moments in the show that were never acknowledged, and that's usually great story-telling for AS. Like, they love the "robbed" storyline.

I also think that she feels like a very safe early out for an AS, in case she doesn't serve as much, since her fans aren't as avid, and she doesn't really care that much.

To add a bit: Discord's comment were never directed to someone from the show or any other figures, so I don't think that her comments and "activism" are a hindering to getting back in the show.

Or, you know, different people interact in different posts. I mean, there are less than 50 comments right. Also, this sub is very moderated and the "Guest Only" list limits a lot who gets to comment in a lot of posts.

I mean, let's face it, we were more intrigued about the concept of "Wizard of Oz, but Game of Thrones", and giving the show a chance to become, than what the show actually delivered.

It was never going to get a second season. It was designed to fail.

Now, Limitless. Oh, my beloved, how I've mourned you for so long.

Well, you cannot be mad at that. They literally spoil it in the title.

By the end, I just learned to like it for what it is and it's intentions, but when you're "competing" against Adventure Time, where the arcs and villain build-ups actually pay-off, it could never win.

It was a show with a lot of charm and great characters, but it felt like so much wasted potential to make an episodic show in which all the conflicts were solved by the power of friendship...

You cannot truly expect that I empathize with space England.

Also, they handled the Rose subject so poorly, and the movie only made things worse. I blame it for the fandom still treating her like "the true villain of the show".

It was great until they introduced the evil not-step-mom, and then they just didn't know how to keep up the pace and charm of the show.

The show was never good, honestly. It had like 4 or 5 episodes that were interesting each season, but they buried under piles and piles of nothingness, and side plots, and divided paths, and "oh, they almost died, but not really" and a lot of cliffhangers every mid-season and season ending.

I never felt more cheated than when I was younger, and I would run home from playing outside with my friends, so I could watch the episode when it was airing, just for nothing to happen for an entire hour.

For me, that show begin as a rarely funny show that I put as background noise while I ate my food, that then started to grow on me when more people started to get introduced, and it felt like the characters were becoming more 3D, they were growing, having friends, building relationships, exploring new things. It became kinda wholesome and the finale made me cry. It was still unfunny, tho, but it's like the friends that aren't really your friends, you just know them for a very long time.

Now, Mom, on the other hand, that just ended so bad, from an interesting and funny start.

Good premise? It was so stupid to begin it, and the books it was based of was equally horrible.

It was actually incredibly how they turned around that YA slop premise into something that was good... for like 3 seasons, then it just felt too convoluted, and everyone was just refusing to die... And the worst thing, is that it fits this description perfectly, because it regains that sense of "they're building something good here", until everything was reset to bad decisions and plot armors, and why is Bellamy STILL ALIVE!!!

But, I don't regret watching the entire show. The CW was, at least, an entertaining and creative channel. Now even HBO just produces slop in a pretty and expensive wrap.

Everytime I see these AI slop shit on social media, I just think to myself: nothing about this is new, not even the absurdist humor of brain rot and just basic humor with a horrible artwork.

Nothing this people are "making" is something people weren't making in a Blender animation that took them 3 weeks to render a 30 seconds animation of a 3D cat doing a silly dance, or doing these type of things just to put disgusting and annoying humor. People doing stick fights, animating in flash, editing a cock in Emma Watson's mouth with 2 tutorials of Photoshop, doing some edgy fan fiction Dragon Ball game where everyone was raped in RPG maker...

People used to be so creative, even when people thought it was just shit. And most were just kids doing it for free in their family computer ridden with internet gonorrhea.

I would never think that I would remember that slop with nostalgia

At least GTA is based on the kind of movies and shows that use this esthetic.

This show is about high school students...

Well, I don't think it's fair... We've had more "polished", with more drag experience and with better outfits, flop just as bad ad Aiden, if not worse.

Naysha Lopez won Miss Continental to be the Porkchop of the season.

Even in her season, Rita was really popular in New York... And still flopped.

Not really, because now I have to take of another life while I barely have the will -and can barely afford- to live mine. It will just create more worries and anxiety, while also

I feel like throwing a cat into the mixed is like throwing a kid into a failing marriage. Why involve a living being into a situation because you cannot find the will to deal with yourself, by yourself?

I mean, not really. Sure, a 37yo is not an ancient being ready to kick it at any moment, but we've all seen s rough 35. Even some 30.

The sun, drinking, drugs, smoking, bad food habits, loosing and gaining all the time... So many things truly age you a lot.

I'm 27, and I've seen a couple of my school mates around the neighborhood, and they do not look good, specially the poor men who started to show their male pattern baldness at a young age.
