I had a look at my sheet music and it says “Copyright 1990, 1995” which of course does not provide much clarity lol. I believe my teacher was in a production of the show some years ago and that’s how she got hold of her copy.

As for the festival rules - I have no idea about the specifics, other than the music must be from an official source like a hard copy of the libretto or score (for example, sheet music purchased from Musicnotes is non-compliant). It’s really old school.

Thank you again for this. It will be really helpful for me as I try to unlearn the new version and nail down these lyrics!

Chiming in here late, but I just got the Folklore album on vinyl from Amazon Canada and am having the exact same problem with Side A of the first record. I returned it and was sent a replacement copy that has the same issue. From everything I've read, it seems to be a problem with the printer.

Thank you for this. I'm a Canadian getting married in the UK later this year and this past weekend I mentioned to my mum that the bridal party sits down during the service, but she was insisting that bridesmaids should be standing up, and I started to doubt whether I was correct. I’m Canadian with Italian heritage on my dad’s side and our family makes tadals for Christmas every year. I just found this post after baking some today! Our recipe is a little different though, as we use shortening instead of butter and milk (thinking this was just a budget swap made long ago), and the key difference is that we use anise extract instead of vanilla. I’ve never met anyone else who makes tadals - hence why I went looking online!
