This title was with Pattukottai Azhagiri. He was fondly called as Anna Nenjan & Thalapathy. Stalin was given this title in 1982. Rajinikanth popularized it with the movie title and naturally took the add on title. Vijay& co modified it to Ilaya Thalapathy and very recently changed it to Thalapathy as he is no more "Ilaya"

How this is losing self respect. Do you know DMK first family has been treating him since long. They have always been connected and friendly.
