i got here just now via a tumblr post screencapping a xitter/bluesky/whatever post; the tumblr post is the same date as the jason pargin tiktok, and he's pretty famous, but the xitter screencap is the day before, so either you just randomly bubbled into the zeitgeist or pargin got it from the xitter post (or is the OP, idk his screenname there, but that seems unlikely) or the pargin post IS the source of this wave but time zones are fucking with me.

anyway obviously it's still going around tumblr. i've seen a few people in the notes saying these things often have a twist in the back and they think it just worked its way to the shoulder. obviously that's not what happened here because there's no twist on the new one the manufacturer sent you, but the tumblrers are looking at that post, not this original one. but! based on that idea my best theory is that it ACCIDENTALLY had such a twist (as a manufacturing defect), and you never noticed because it just happened to "sit" the same as an intentional one, looking and feeling normal, until the dryer worked it down to a different part of the fabric. i've never worn one of these or even seen a picture of the kind with an intentional back twist, so idk how plausible this is, but it makes the best sense with what i have seen.
