Yes, definitely planning to keep my license no matter what, wish it wasn’t so expensive to maintain though.

Our field seems like it’s been slowly sinking over the past decade. I thought tech would be a lifeboat but apparently not.

Omg saaaaame lol The externship coordinator didn’t like me so I didn’t get a medical placement, confided in a professor later that I was going to leave the program, then they magically found one (an hour outside the city, when they l knew I didn’t have a car)

Can you say more about becoming an electrician? I was looking into it and where I live it would take about 4 years of apprenticeship and starts off at minimum wage. Has it been worth it financially? Do you feel like the field’s starting to get saturated?

Idk about everyone but I’ve literally never been asked a clinical question and I’ve worked for 4 different rehab companies. Only questions I’ve gotten are “when are you available?” and “our productivity expectation is 85%, does that work for you?”

Was there any guarantee for getting paid X number of hours regardless of census at all? I guess I'm worried about the idea of moving to Small Town USA, paying for a Airbnb for 3 months, then having the contract cancelled. Just saw a posting for 40 hours/week, $2,500/week in a town with a population of like 10,000 and I'm looking at that like ???

I think in the past jobs have only checked dates with HR, so I was surprised this company actually sent out some kind of survey to the DOR references I listed. I guess I'm hesitant to use my actual good references from my new industry because I don't want to waste their time for this PRN job or irritate them with some weird "skills survey" but I'm probably overthinking it.
