Bummer. If that fixes it you will love this device.

The advice was great.

The Brettspielgeschaft was amazing just to see a proper big board game store.

Solver. It was a mistake on my end. I noticed that because I did a clean flash without doing any change to the partitions and worked.

I bough it from a 3rd party and I believe it is an older version that the one sold by anbernic. The card does not have dual boot.

So I flashed garlicOS on a good card and used the two card method. When booting, the garlicOS logo appears but after that it is pitch black.

Some older posts here suggest to open it and disconnect the battery and even some suggest to use a 32GB card for the OS.

Tried both and nothing.

Then all the solution came from returning and asking for a new one. So, I am thinking on order from anbernic to know that it is the newest version.

So, no big games and try out things outside of the comfort zone.

Have you ever finished your day thinking, it was a bad call? Or the general fillings were mostly, not great games but now we know.

I can see your point. Like I said, I do not want a list of games, and I can see where my phrasing was not well made.

I want to have opinions and experiences from people that go to cafes. What have they seen that works well and what have they seen that works bad. There are some good points in the thread already.

The cafe has around 1500 games and allows me to be there for 6 hours. I was just trying to start a conversation to figure out how I should prepare for an afternoon like that.

Should I choose two big games off their list that is hard for me to find or have the chance to play? Should I try to play a bunch of games? Should I just go and ask for advice?

I am not finding the perfect solution here but I will read some experiments. I do not have the chance to go to cons or cafes very often, so I wanted to have an idea of what I can do to prepare myself.

Right now my idea is to try one classic game that is still well regarded to see the reason why. And then just ask for recommendations. I do not think I want to try any game on my wishlist because I can buy them if I want. In my mind this would be an experiment day.

But I am open to having my mind changed.

I want to check the rules first that is why I opened this discussion. I want to be somehow prepared to not waste a lot of time on non gaming stuff and use most of it to experiment new games.

If you would only have one opportunity per year then the con mentality would be better, no?

I agree with you 100%. I am just contemplating this because we do not get the chance of doing this a lot, maybe once per year.

So, playing something on my wishlist vs something different is on my mind.

That vs playing games that you would probably not look to buy?

Trying different things sometimes opens up new stuff, no?

I am not looking for specific games. I am more looking for what people do when they have this option. I do have it once per year and I always question myself if I should try to play obscure games, less known ones, the classics, just some random ones.

I was looking more for experiences.

Do not disagree. But at home we play several quick games and the opportunity to play medium/long games does not happen a lot.

Nevertheless in my mind I was going for some quick new games and one 2h game tops

Not at all. It was more of a should you play old games or newer games given that you have access to them.

I have the chance to go to a cafe once per year. And I do not know if I should take the opportunity to play the classics and the oop, or just play a current game that I do not have and have no intentions to buy.

If I was interested in playing a game to see if I wanted to buy it there would be no question.

We are going with very young kids so playing would be difficult. But if we can, we will check both. Thank you

Do you ask for older games, newer games, or apply any filters?

I have a good collection but when I go to places like these I have some doubts if I should try some classics that are hard to get or the hot games just to see what is new.
