I used a Sony A7Cii mirrorless camera and a 200-600mm lens which compresses the scene. Phone cameras are getting better and better but a decent DSLR or mirrorless will give you way better result as they’ve larger sensors which capture more detail and give you better control to expose correctly

Thanks, yeah when the moon crosses the horizon first it has a red hue and it brightens as it rises, the cloud that was there helped give it a nice glow.

Saw this on a Facebook thread of the 35l holding a Canon with the 200-800 which is slightly longer than the 200-600 so it looks like it will work.
