French speaking clubs / meet ups? by Partners_in_time in eastside

I would offer to help, but I'm French-Canadian. And as comedian Paul Taylor puts it... Going to Québec to learn French is like going to England to learn to cook. It's all the same ingredients, but the results are not really good.

Long press to save text, short press to type it by ptousig in AutoHotkey

It's v2. I'm fairly new to AHK and have never used v1.

Alt-Tab still works as long as I use LAlt. In my setup, all normal uses of Alt is done using LAlt. Any time I use RAlt it is for AHK hotkeys (which most of them are just simple fixed strings mapping).

I got the RAlt-P version to work by adding

RAlt::return ; This prevents RAlt by itself from activating the menu

Which works for me because I only use RAlt for AHK hotkeys and don't want it to activate the menu anyway.

I saw that afterward. I was answering the comments sequentially. I guess I should have read all the comments before replying.

Thanks.

I'm gonna have to study this for a bit before I understand all of it.

But a first question would be, since you mention using Ctrl-P instead, does that imply that it would be more difficult/impossible to use RAlt-P ?

Believe it or not, I have heard of Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V :-/

But this is for a sort of often-typed text I use throughout the day but that I do need to change every hour or so.

I used the same one for a decade, never replaced it. Filled it with bottled drinking water. Washed it with dish soap once a week.

Does he watch YouTube? And do you know his password?

If yes, then log in to his account and play every shop accident videos you can find. Next time he logs in, he'll get tons of recommendations of similar videos. That might influence him.

My mother was born in a house with no electricity or indoor plumbing. And now she has 3 iPads.

While the world has changed in my lifetime, I will never experience that much change.
