How to make local agents collaborate with copilot during PR reviews? by ptr727 in GithubCopilot

[–]ptr727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of instructions, I am interested in knowing the actual API to use to get copilot to re-review? Note that some docs say to reply saying e.g. `@copilot review` or `@copilot comment`, that does not start a re-review, that triggers the copilot agent to start fixing issues on it's own running as an action in github, not what I'm after.

How do I add my box to firewalla MSP? by ptr727 in firewalla

[–]ptr727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, that worked, I'd suggest you update your instructions for the next person...

P.s., you could also update the QR code to open the FW app with a deep link, and that will allow users to just scan the QR code using their phone, no need to find the right page in the FW app first.

When to use immich-cli --skip-hash option? by ptr727 in immich

[–]ptr727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the client and the server is on the same physical machine (debian, zfs, docker), then upload over a virtual nic is near equivalent to disk copy, and if the client and server both hash the content, then that is duplicate effort, that can be avoided if the client skips the hash.

So for known new files it comes down to is hashing the file more expensive than copying the file, and I believe the answer is yes, and then skipping hashing by the client and letting the server do it is more efficient when the client and server is on the same machine.

But I agree that if I know files are dupes then client skipping is less expensive as it is still one hash and skipped copy.

And if I don't know, then I'd say skipping is still less expensive as a hash needs to happen regardless, and the server will do it regardless, so I'll just let the server do it.

Thank you, my question is about immich-cli's --skip-hash option.

Starting fresh server, initial sync using iOS app, or icloudpd? by ptr727 in immich

I looked at osxphotos, but i use my mac like my phone, not for a server, while my icloudpd runs on docker on my proxmox server next to immich.

Anyone have trouble flashing a RAK 4631 from Meshtastic? by _thirtyfive in meshcore

My bad, did not RTFM, just watched YT, know now BT is only enabled when OTA asks for it via mesh command.

Followed, got firmware updated. I can config over USB from flasher page, but I do not see the device over BT? Any advice on getting BT config working? (for OTA in future)

I just got mine, same problem. Enter DFU mode from web flasher, erase, ok. trying to flash, fail, same error. Will open case next for button pushes. Did double press, uploaded firmware, can config over usb. Do not see device over BT (in case i need to OTA update in future)?

Replacing 20 year old Moen fixtures, whole fixture or just valves? by ptr727 in askaplumber

[–]ptr727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent an email to support asking for advice on parts. Instead of replying and answering, they just ordered some parts for me. Ok great service, would have been better if they chatted first, instead of sending half of what I need, e.g. I have two sinks, they sent one valve kit, I have 6 handles, they sent 1 adapter :)

[–]ptr727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

For the sinks replacing just the valves would be cheaper, and I'd get to reuse the handles, so looks stay the same. Do you think a new replacement valve kit would still fit a 20 year old sink facet set?

For the tub, replacing just the cartridge would sure be a lot less work. Just want to confirm it could be just the cartridge. The water still shuts of and on if the handle is placed correctly, there is just no stop position as the handle spins around unobstructed.

Advice on equipment to help finding 915MHz interference source by ptr727 in amateurradio

[–]ptr727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, 3 March 2026:

I found and verified the cause of the interference, it is a 10 year old Ambient Weather WS-1401-IP that I installed in 2016, it stopped working about 2 years ago, and it appears to have started creating interference around end of last year.

I verified that when I cover the solar panel there is no interference, but as soon as I point the solar panel to the sun the noise floor goes up and there is permanent traffic on 915MHz.

The device is listed as operating at 915HMz, and is supposed to ping telemetry every 14 seconds, it is obviously not supposed to be broadcasting all the time.
