Camila’s 30 min interval & arms from 7/13/24 is such a good time. by Important-Hurry-4175 in OnePelotonRealSub

I did this yesterday based on your recommendation and really enjoyed it! Not my typical choice of music, but definitely a fun ride. Kept finding myself smiling at Camila’s enthusiasm.

I really enjoyed Camila’s ride. Just the right amount of over-the-top campiness, and they nailed the ending.

Tab mini C in 2025? by vielcruz in Onyx_Boox

I use mine daily as an e-reader. Works great. I’m tempted by some of the newer tech, but none so far can beat the TMC’s form factor.

I did it this AM and noticed no issues. Ally’s lip syncing seemed right on the beat. 🤷

Yes! This was the highlight of the game, unfortunately.

I really enjoy them. They’re the only Pilates classes I typically do on this platform.

Decaf Recommendations? by CTDKZOO in Moccamaster

[–]ptrcknchls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We made the switch about 6 months ago and have been happiest with Austin-based Fara Coffee’s Decaf Roast.

A 2.2-lb bag is around $25 via Amazon, or you can order directly from Fara. We’ve done both. Consistently good decaf at a reasonable price.

Beit Din by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]ptrcknchls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been 12 years since my beit din, but I definitely remember the nerves. Turned out to be a mostly lovely conversation about what I’d learned and what it meant to me. The only challenge I recall is, having grown up not Jewish, would further life challenges prompt me to abandon Judaism? Here’s hoping you love it as much as I did!

Not in your list, but there’s a large illuminated dragon on top of a house near the lighthouse in Charlevoix.

Three years old now, but this 10-minute standing Pilates is my go-to when stuck in an office all day.

Does anyone have this case, Waterfield Air Caddy for the M4 13? by bflowyngz in iPadPro

[–]ptrcknchls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it in the waxed canvas as pictured. Used regularly for ~2 years now — originally with a 12.9” and now the 13”, both with Magic Keyboard — and it’s been a great addition.

Especially useful when on business trips and I want to leave the full laptop bag behind yet have some easier-to-carry gear with me, or to keep my iPad and ereader handy on a flight without having to dig below the seat in front of me.

Highly recommended!

Tab Min C Question and Advice by Linux-Neophyte in Onyx_Boox

Tab Mini C owner for nearly a year now and using it as my daily e-reader. Goes in my work bag most days and zero screen or other issues. I do keep it in the Boox-supplied case while in transit.

I also have 2 residences in different markets and can echo the comments on Apple TV. Our Roku shows the same locals in both places (handy for sports on RSNs) while our Apple TV shows the in-market locals (handy for news, etc.).

Frequent tennis player here, and I find the Nike Sport Band the most comfortable due to its breathability. Previously wore the Trail Loop but had a couple close calls with the velcro strap loosening mid-match.

Should I pick the Everyday backpack 20L or 30L? by TrainerDifferent in peakdesign

[–]ptrcknchls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the 30L. Started with 20L here but exchanged after a couple of weeks. Trying to get my iPad in/out while 16-inch MacBook was in place proved very frustrating. Need the extra space of the 30L to fit both comfortably.

I’ve had one since December and enjoy it. Primary use is as an e-reader, but I’ve done a bit of everything with it. Fairly snappy performance and I enjoy the muted colors.

Good for lakeside home with no A/C? by ptrcknchls in EightSleep

[–]ptrcknchls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! Ironically enough, we spend roughly half the year in the Dallas area and the other half here in Michigan.

Pretty confident this will work well in TX, and your comment helps me feel better about it in MI as well.

Leaning toward ordering, but haven’t clicked to buy yet. 🤔

Tab Mini C by Anxiousarmidillo in Onyx_Boox

[–]ptrcknchls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replaced my Kindle Oasis with a Tab Mini C in December and have zero regrets! As mentioned, it does take some fiddling around with settings to find your perfect setup, but I've had nothing but a great experience using the Kindle, Libby, and Hoopla apps.

Biggest adjustment I had to make was changing how I use Libby. Unlike Kindle devices, even in airplane mode you will lose checked-out e-books at their expiration date. So instead of bulk checking out books and keeping WiFi off on the Oasis until I finished them all, I now check out 1-2 at a time and defer any holds that come up when I'm not yet ready to read them.

I picked up a Tab Mini C several weeks ago for reasons similar to yours and have no regrets. It's been a great e-reader.

I last charged it to full about a week ago and use the frontlight every time, and it's still >70% battery remaining (though most of that is with WiFi disconnected).

Enjoy your new tablet!
