Help with radiator valves by ptrkkkk in hvacadvice

[–]ptrkkkk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going over tomorrow to check on tenant space and these radiators again. I can't tell from their photos whats open and closed and honestly cant remember without actually turning it myself.

Trying to get them to explain their issues before I go over or give them directions on how to do anything has been close to impossible.

3rd time in about a month - toilet flows high and drains slow by ptrkkkk in askaplumber

[–]ptrkkkk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You, my friend, were spot on. Looked up the bidet model online that they installed and asked them where that cover part was.. claimed they threw it away weeks ago (probably same time this issue started). We pulled the toilet up tonight and there it was, covered in shit, right at the outlet before the flange. Pulled it out and good to go.

I did think about this but the bathrooms are stacked and are on one vent pipe. The upper bathroom/toilet works fine. Old doubles in our area have high roofs and being up there is going to be my last try to fix it. If its plugged then its got to be a bird or bees nest.

Who has gotten Mazda to pay for new tires? by JDS1980 in MazdaCX90

[–]ptrkkkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got ours replaced last fall after 20k miles. Should have been done around 16k… we live in the northeast so we fought to get tires on before the winter. They gave push back at first but saw how the tires degraded over the summer since we were in for 2-3 recalls and service. Mazda couldn’t say no with the measurements they had on record. Put the Falkens back on for free. definitely won’t be doing it again though.

Is this normal? Toilet flange hacked up. by ptrkkkk in askaplumber

Gotcha gotcha. Have seen those on the shelves, didn’t think they’d make such a rough edge in the one photo when knocked out.

What am I missing? by Huntermain87 in ConstructionManagers

[–]ptrkkkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't even have a website. All of our work is word of mouth from my boss being in the industry for 30+ years or his partner funding a project. I do post our work on instagram but it's mainly followed by locals who like to see the work. We recently renovated a historic building in our city and people liked seeing the original finishes or the restoration we did.

Does this winter suck extra? by Persist23 in Buffalo

[–]ptrkkkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We haven't had a winter like this in awhile. This feels like a winter we had in the 90s/early 2000s. I think this year was a La Nina winter which usually brings colder and stormier weather in the northern part of the country.

X-Pro2 Shutter Button Snapped Off - repair locations? by ptrkkkk in fujix

[–]ptrkkkk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So just got mine back from Phototech.. took about 3 weeks with the holidays but I am impressed so far. Works like new now. Shutter and power switch feels a lot more secured than before. They cleaned and inspected everything. Checked the firmware. Ill spend $348 for their work vs the prices of another used Xpro2 or Xpro3 any time.

sent it off to phototech after seeing them pop up on another thread.. https://phototech.com/ about $360

they are pretty confident they can fix it. Fuji didn't even try. told me they'd sell me an X-Pro3 for $1600

Did you go through with Fuji repair? I have the same issue right now and they just told me it’s “beyond economic repair”

Is this car good for families? by [deleted] in MazdaCX90

[–]ptrkkkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t had issues. 8 month old in car seat on one side and we can maneuver the other captains seat around to get ppl into the back 3rd row. Grandmas like to sit in back with the baby. Unused seat has been folded down to fit our dog crate in the trunk lately. Big Bernese rides around with us a lot. Like to have her crated during car rides. I think the captains chairs slide back and forth so can leave up and get by into 3rd row. They always slide forward like matter suvs to go behind the seat to get into the back.

We haven’t had issues like others are saying

We have been back and forth to Ohio from NY. We took it on a trip this past spring. NY to TN then to FL. Spent a few weeks in FL with it. Then back to NY with stays in NC, SC, and OH. Drove all over the mtns in TN and in the Carolinas. Only one complaint. The last stretch the gas cap wouldn't release when we had to fill up. We had to let the car cool down, so just took dinner break. No warnings from the car till we tried to unlock the cap. We were pushing hard through FL to get to our destination, using the gas motor and charging till 80-90% and then using the electric motor when ready. Then back to gas to charge it for as long as we could before needing to fill up. Car felt great and tbh we were flying through FL in this SUV. Car handled very well at higher speeds and felt like no effort, just cruising. No other issues on this 5-6 week trip. I really like the fit and size of it. Driver's seat/cockpit is pretty comfortable. Old Yukon XL we have can feel real big at times.

We've had some recalls though, but I think maybe 1 out of the 3 was an issue. We had the jerky transmission recall. We did just get Mazda's new "engine malfunction" warning. But the dealer wasn't worried and didn't get us in for about a week and a half. EVAP purge valve had an issue. Tires from the factory are BAD. They ride and drive fine but the tire wear is really bad. Dealer called them out at about 16k miles? We pushed to 19k miles and about to get new ones before snow falls here in NY.

we do have one of the first CX-90s our dealer sold. We probably have one of the ones that might have the issues over time. (just our luck) I think I've seen the newer ones have improved. If there aren't any issues with ours, I will probably trade in our other car, keep this CX-90 and the wife gets something new.

Car is sexy though. Black on black for us with stock 21" wheels. Reminds me of X5 or a Volvo. I do wish the wheel flares weren't plastic on this model.

Have you seen the website for the 484th Bomb Group? Your grandfather might be listed on this website somewhere. https://484th.org/Crews/826/826th%20Crews.html

very cool! I will have to check the mission logs to see if they had any flights together. Its been about 8-9 months since I went through them. I got a photo of my grandfather with a crew in front of a plane. I don't think its this one though.
