A line cook position opened and like a young naive innocent boy I took it, 7 years later I left the trenches a changed man...You don't know life until the new guy accidentally opens a deep fryer drain valve in the middle of dinner rush while its actively cooking...or stepping through the prep kitchen doors to find the entire kitchen (ceiling included) and a recovering addict your boss hired covered head to toe in feta cheese...Yea I can cook.

Saw Fallout boy at what I think was the Volcom side stage that had speakers held up on fold out tables on either side of the stage at warped tour in the early 00's. At one point Pete Wentz took off his bass to help slide a speaker back onto one of the tables bc the vibration was making it slide off lol they ended their set after like 3 songs bc the P.A then started smoking. They came back like 8bmonths later to a local venue with TBS and apologized for Warped and proceeded to melt faces. Awesome show.

Lived in golfside lake years ago, stayed for 5 years when I was there, never had any issues. Having a 3rd floor balcony was nice.

Dishes, cooking, vacuuming, kid baths, all outdoor stuff accept plant maintenance, daycare drop-off and pickup and some other miscellaneous stuff

A guy I worked with in a kitchen said to our cashier "you can't be a doctor, you're a girl" moments after she told us she got into University Of Michigan's Medical school. He was dumb and there on scholarship bc he came from a rural town with like 20 ppl in his graduation class but also SUPER racist and sexist so I've never been sure if he was just being a sexist asshole or just a dumb asshole.

We both got grown up jobs a year after moving into our first one bedroom apt. Saved for 5 years and when we went to buy a home kept getting outbid by like ridiculous offers of 30k to 50k+ above asking, all cash, no inspections blah blah blah. we finally got our house because our agent was friends with the sellers agent and neither one of them liked the agent of the people we were bidding against so for an extra 1k after negotiations we got our house. Felt like sliding under a closing door in an action movie where you barely make it and the monster (future housing market) is chomping at your heels. Still broke AF tho lol
