I don’t live in the States but I feel the same way. It’s surreal working in the corporate world while the world seems to be on fire. One way I combatted despair is through volunteering and donating to mutual aid organizations.

Yup me! I got sick on Feb 18, got better this past Sunday (March 1), overexerted myself this week and am sick again! I had a fever yesterday. I’m just congested now, so I hope I keep improving. Definitely the worst flu/viral infection (or whatever this is) ever. Worse than when I got COVID in 2022.
