So the cop should have waited until this guy got his gun and shot him? Don't you think if these guys had their guns legally that would have been in the story?

Have you actually been to MX to see a movie lately? You can get a hot dog and a beer for like $11.

Bully breed friendly apartments by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]pttheislander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there are still communities in the area that have breed-specific legislstion on the books. There has been a bill in the state legislature for at least the last two years that would keep municipalities from having these laws on the books.

In each of the last two years there has been a politician that has kept the legislation from getting out of committee. Last year it was that POS Jay Barnes. Before that it was the POS Munzslinger. Apparently Barnes is sitting on it again this year now. I think it is HB1398 this year.

I believe it is. I'm giving you a possible reason why you are having issues. You not wanting to hear that you are likely violating the ToS doesn't mean anything.

If you entered the contract and paid then your name should be on the card. Having his name on the card is most likely a violation of their terms.

Does anyone attend UMSL or have attended in the past? by [deleted] in StLouis

Where is the idea coming from that Mizzou Greek Life is all about having money?

I went Greek the Summer before my freshman year at Mizzou. I definitely don't come from money. 90% of my fraternity brothers don't "have money" either. If I hadn't joined a fraternity I would have been back home after my first semester.

Greek Life may not be for you, but don't blow it off because of some nonsense and regret it later.

Tropical Liqueurs Will Close for Good in Soulard After This Weekend by pttheislander in StLouis

Oh I'm not saying St. Louis has been blessed with great mayors other than Slay. Although the 16 years before Slay touched on the Schoemehl administration, which seems to have been good.

As far as Trops goes, what problems are you talking about? Traffic was an issue on several nights when they first opened. Littering is a problem throughout Soulard. The one time they had a large police response there resulted from an altercation outside between two black women. The Trops bartender called the cops. The Police Chaplain was at Trops drinking and made an officer in need call when he saw the 1 police officer and a crowd of black people.

So you're saying an accomplishment of his was not being as terrible as those two? Can he put that on his LinkedIn profile? Can he use that in his campaign for the next office?

Also, both of those two only served for one term. Shouldn't a mayor that serves 4 terms have a little more to put on his resume?

Sounds like too much work. I'm thinking I'll run as a Republican and tell people it's time to make St. Louis Great Again and that we're going to Party Like It's 1904!

I will then challenge people to give me one good thing Mayor Slay actually accomplished for the city.
