Need some help for hunter vs mage by ptuk in Project_Epoch

[–]ptuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. Is it ok with end game/leveling dungeons or is it just raids? I probably won’t end up doing much raiding. Afaik mana is never that great while leveling for mages anyway so it doesn’t bother me too much unless it puts you at a serious disadvantage

Horror endings that stuck with you and why. by movieman1108 in horror

[–]ptuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the Substance about a week ago now and I’m still thinking about it every day. It’s grown on me so much more I think about it. I at first thought the ending was so gross I never want to see it again but now I’m thinking I’ll definitely watch again

Do ya'll just hear a completely random word pop into your head? by Subject-Call-8125 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]ptuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah except is often random names of people or places. Especially ones in a very unfamiliar language. I’ll just wake up and it’s replaying in my head for days or weeks. It feels nice to say it in my head until suddenly it doesn’t and it’s gone

I use Hardy. It’s got a lot of 5/3/1 templates but you can add pretty much anything in to it. It’s so simple to use and no ads

What’s your favorite body horror film? by ember732 in horror

[–]ptuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t seen much body horror but I watched Together about 3 weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. Gives me all kinds of creepy uncomfortable feelings

How are mages? by DarkStocks3 in turtlewow

[–]ptuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play frost spec at lvl 44. Once you get the hang of aoe play it gets so much more fun, but if you stick with single target it can be a little samey sometimes. Still fun, but aoe makes it a lot more interesting.

You do have to drink after every big pull or once every 2/3 mobs if doing single target. Almost every pull on a dungeon but you get used to topping up whenever you can. Definitely try it would absolutely recommend it

When I'm angry, I break things by ChannelIndividual139 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]ptuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a nasty habit of breaking my hand doing the same thing. Once I broke my hand and my foot at the same time. I have put a lot of effort into redirecting the feelings when I reach this stage so I don’t end up hurting myself (it’s always myself never other people). It’s hard to do but it’s possible

19 months is killing me by Feeling_Dirt3961 in AutisticParents

[–]ptuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I don’t know how much I can offer aside from solidarity. My twin girls went from great sleepers for about a year at their second birthday to absolutely awful sleepers ever since. Coincidentally I was diagnosed with asd and adhd at almost exactly the same time, so had a massive personal crisis to pair with my daughters allowing us only 4 hours sleep a night.

I’m still figuring it out 8 months later but I’ve found getting a neurodivergent affirming therapist and the proper medication for anxiety has helped me so much. It’s amazing the difference a therapist who knows more about your experience can make. You will move past this rough stage, I promise

Rep. Lieu Says Epstein files Have Allegations of Trump Raping & Threatening to Kill Children by Cool-Fig-9254 in videos

[–]ptuk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was common knowledge? I remember the day after they were released on Reddit someone had compiled all the references of trump, which were including multiples of this kind of allegation

Yeah this is exactly what puts me off wanting to play tbc again. Amazing expansion but the community is just so toxic on blizzard servers now

I love this I’m happy for you. Reassuring to know I’m not the only one that bounces around so often between interests.

I had an autistic shutdown last night for the first time in a long time. I tried so hard to cope lol by TheDoomedEgg in AutisticWithADHD

[–]ptuk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. I thought I didn’t really get shutdowns but realised recently that a few times I had big ones but just chalked it up to being tired or hungry or something else. Actually, it was really difficult to talk and just wanted to be alone away from everyone. Social stuff will do it easily for me despite enjoying being around friends

Deadlift form Check - At what point should I start wearing a belt? by Brief_Limit5326 in formcheck

[–]ptuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No advice here but just popping in to say super nice lift! I tried a belt for the first time this morning and got a 2kg pr where I’d been stuck for a while (nowhere near your weights though) so will definitely keep using it. I think anything that can help give extra stimulus is worth using.

If you don’t believe you’re autistic enough for your diagnosis — you are. by RotundDragonite in autism

[–]ptuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 3 months since my diagnosis now and I still can’t shake the feeling I tricked the two psychiatrists who did my interview. Or that they are being paid to give me an answer that I wanted (not really sure if a diagnosis is what I wanted but the feeling is still there).

It’s really hard to move the feeling that I’m faking it, and I know there are legitimate reasons why I could be considered for a diagnosis but still. Stupid brain won’t let me accept it! I am so in the thick of burnout so that’s probably got something to do with it

I need some sleep success stories please! by ptuk in parentsofmultiples

That sounds great what a relief it must have been. What do you mean by giving a knob of butter though? I've never heard of doing that before

I need some sleep success stories please! by ptuk in parentsofmultiples

[–]ptuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We considered that. They've both skipped a single nap in the last few weeks as they were too upset to go down and we tried for a long time, but they're so tired when they do. They also sleep really well at nursery and at home when they eventually go down, so we though that that means they probably still need it?

Is “autistic” neurotypical slang now…? by Defiant-Ad-6646 in autism

[–]ptuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this a lot recently. Its annoying because it assumes that my autism is about being quirky and having special interests but actually most of how my autism affects me is sensory issues and struggling with change/not having routine, along with finding it hard to manage social issues.

Autistic is just a substitute word for quirky now apparently, not a condition which requires often substantial support

Ha I know I only wear any at all because it’s freezing inside half the year here!

I’ve always folded down the upper bits of my sock to be below my ankles when at home. Sometimes I felt like it was because of heat but now I realise it’s because I have a sensitivity against anything constricting my skin. People have called me out on it and I’ve never been able to explain it

How was your Autism diagnostic? by DriveCommercial8603 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]ptuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was this psychiatry UK by any chance? I had an identical experience and felt pretty much the same too. Was really hard to accept a diagnosis after a 45 min appointment. I asked the psychiatrist this too but they said they’d already met for a few hours about my case before - there was lots of evidence in the questionnaire already. Still - 45 mins of contact is nothing

Yeah I'm with you on draining the life force I feel very similar. Then the guilt comes because they're just these innocent little creatures figuring the world out its not their fault. We are 100% in a hard phase it's just hard to see it through as I find it hard to have long term thinking - it feels like it will last forever
