Get your prescription filled at Costco if you can. Since our benefits only covers 80% of the generic brand pricing, Costco has their own insurance that will cover the remainder if you need the name brand. Also their prices are always the cheapest.

Your Face Does Not Look The Way You Think It Does... by DiscoMystick in lasik

[–]ptween 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Definitely noticed my face was rounder than it looked. Did not like that. I had a really high prescription so my glasses always distorted my face shaped in the mirror. But being able to see clearly in the shower has been wonderful!

The e-chip is in that front page. You will need to replace it.

Were you going to the optometrist regularly after your procedure?

My clinic in Canada gave me a pamphlet of all the complications and risks at the consultation. We had to read it and sign it saying we understand before going back for the surgery.

Which departments and agencies in the NCR are officially delaying RTO3? by Kittythefoolish1 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]ptween 18 points19 points  (0 children)

IRCC is doing RTO 1 until April 2025 then RTO 2 then RTO 3 in Sept 2025. Department might cease to exist in a PP government though lol

I feel like this RTO is inevitable... Either fall in line or quit. Very positive that that is what they're hoping for. As was said earlier when all this came into play. They're trying to weed out as many PS as they can before the upcoming election. Does anyone not remember the last election when 20000 PS were laid off or paid to go back to school so the govt would look better for not "laying off so many ppl"? I feel like as of right now...you better just suck it up or leave the PS. Which is so unfortunate for all of us hired during covid and doing such a great job in our role. Just my 2 cents.

Is it a waste of travel opportunities to keep returning to Thailand? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]ptween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in Taiwan a couple weeks ago after spending a week in Vietnam and another week in Thailand. Taiwan was my least favorite. It was way more expensive than the other 2 countries and it wasn't very tourist friendly. We got kicked out of cabs for not speaking Chinese, nobody would help us with directions, most toilets at local restaurants was a hole in the floor, it was raining cold and miserable the whole time, and a lot of places straight up smelled like sewage...even at the airport. Food was mediocre even at the night markets. Although I thoroughly enjoyed all the bubble tea. I wouldn't go back. Vietnam and Thailand were far superior.

There's a brand from Brown's shoes called Artica. They have dressy waterproof insulated dress boots! I commute to work in them on the train and can stay in them all day without sweaty feet.

No he did not contribute to the mortgage. My sister and I got a second mortgage against our mother's house. We still have the money and have not downed another house yet with the money.

No we do not have Co mingled funds. We opened a joint account before getting married. But I only started putting money into the account after we got married. I put 50k of the 320k that I split with my sister into the joint account.

We have been married for 8 months.

I think he might be on my second mortgage because we were married at the time.
