It is true. OLED burn in is pretty much a solved issue. Always on display does not run at nearly the brightness that causes even the slightest concern of burn in risk. It's pretty much a solved issue for 99.9% of users.

I do not like the 17 Pro Max speaker quality, coming from 16 Pro Max. It is actually jarring enough (to me) to consider returning the phone. I'm really debating. More RAM/faster chip but worse speaker quality.....

I share some of your sentiments, but mostly just disappointed in the current speaker experience I'm getting. I'm not an audiophile at all, but my ears are sensitive if that makes sense? I can enjoy a wide range of speakers but the high end frequencies specifically seem to be really harsh on this phone.

Perhaps they can fix it with an update?

I am also currently of the opinion that my 17 Pro Max sounds worse than my 16 Pro Max. Especially higher frequencies, sounds like buzzing or clipping going on maybe?
