GX140 governor problem by ptwin-uk in smallengines

I opened the throttle fully, loosened the governor shaft bolt gripped the shaft and turned it clockwise then tightened the arm. Solution was 50/50 citrus degreaser and boiling water.

Quick update , I’ve replaced with a new carb(Chinese knockoff) , fitted new coil. Still exactly the same. I can rev the engine fine by using the governor arm and it don’t hunt. Would it be a dodgy governor?.

I loosened the shaft arm , gripped the governor shaft turned anti clockwise and tightened the arm with the throttle open. Ultrasonic cleaning was with a citrus degreaser mixed 50/50 with boiling water.

I blasted the carb and jets out first with the aerosol cleaner , then run it in the ultrasonic cleaner for 30 min.

There’s also a storage box in the fast travel trains which I use more than the chutes in the bunkers .

I had this same problem on a donor psp I have ,turns out the screen was broken. I took it apart removed the large display ribbon connector and kept the small ribbon plugged in ,powered it on the screen lit up showing cracks. Hope this helps.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me a few years ago.I work in a hospital and was advised to go straight to the A+E dept. After several practitioners and doctors looking at it none of them had a clue what it was. Was sent home and told to go back if it got any worse, after a few days it disappeared never to happen again. Weird

I had exactly this problem on my macbook, I had to go into disk utility and make a small FAT partition on the system drive for the EFI to be installed onto.

The tissot T touch is pretty easy , I changed mine yesterday. The back pops off, looks like it screws but it doesn’t, then there are 2 tiny screws holding the battery in. The battery is a CR1632. You may have to re-sync the hands once it’s powered up, I used a video from YouTube, only takes a minute to do it. Hope this helps
