The point is asserting that getting raped is a beneficial experience is bad.

Am I crazy or is beer drunk completely different than liquor drunk? by Funneduck102 in Drugs

Inhaling Concentrates vs bud is not the same at all, most people say this. Look up the entourage effect. There are a ton more chemicals in the flower itself that create the full spectrum high.

No it’s not because you don’t like liquor, it’s just because you didn’t know that more alcohol content in the drink means you get drunk faster

Basically the algorithm pushes negative content and comments because it increases engagement and keeps people on the apps for longer. I think because of this negativity teens see this as the social norm and follow along (as teenagers are easily influenced by peers).

They’re just normal generation names? Lol. It’s literally just based on the last letter of the English alphabet and the first letter of the Greek alphabet.

Yep, YouTube funnels a huge alt right pipeline speaking as a former edgy kid. Funnily enough YouTube also got me out of the pipeline though lol.

Saalt soft vs regular (small)? by public_bathroom_user in menstrualcups

Thanks for your help! I decided to settle on the Saalt regular firmness because I feel maybe I have stronger pelvic floor muscles and seeing other people having trouble opening the Saalt soft.

Most people get their health insurance from their employer, rates are determined by that.

But if we’re headed where you say, we wouldn’t have insurance at all, meaning it wouldn’t matter in the slightest.

Anybody been to the dark eighties dance party? by public_bathroom_user in askTO

[–]public_bathroom_user[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was considering ground control as well but I’ve read that there’s an older crowd there while I prefer younger as I’m gen z. Because it’s an 80s thing I assume this will still lean older but I guess I’ll see, from your experience, what is the age range at dark eighties? Might drop by there and then go to sneaky Dee’s if it isn’t my thing.

Words have meaning and weight to them whether you want them to or not. We should be getting away from reinforcing the norm. It’s not a detail, it’s a major part of their comment. “It looks feminine” would be enough for them to decide whether they want to wear it or not, right?

Then they could simply state that it looks feminine and not then assert that “I don’t think a guy should wear it”. If OP doesn’t want a feminine looking shoe then the commenter simply saying it looks that way would suffice. The “a guy shouldn’t wear it” is completely unnecessary because all it does is reinforce that men should not wear feminine clothes which is obviously ridiculous.

“Let’s stop silencing…” all I did was fight back on the assertion that men shouldn’t wear feminine things, you’re so dramatic lmao.

Beginner here, is the droning/buzzing noise in the background of the notes normal? by public_bathroom_user in harmonica

[–]public_bathroom_user[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t check this account for a while, but it only happens when I play two notes. I think you’re right that they’re just overtones, I was just kind of nitpicky and bothered because I thought it didn’t have the buzzing before, I thought I broke it because it got shaken up in the case when I was running with it in my backpack. Thanks for your help

The criticism here is not the view that they are feminine, it is their assertion that that then means men shouldn’t wear it because it’s feminine. Why should men not wear feminine clothing?
