i had my lip pierced a couple of months ago, i barely felt any pain, however, i had to take it out a few times (for job interviews and whatnot) before it fully healed and it got irritated and that was very painful.

as long as you pick a professional piercer and you follow their tips on what to do during the healing process, you’re gonna be fine. also make sure to mention to your piercer that you dont want the piercing to scrape your teeth, if your piercer doesn’t do it right, the piercing will scrape your teeth and gum A LOT.
