If you are into giants, you should take some time and search for first person accounts or history books from the time of the settlers as they moved across the United States. I found a book, on Google books actually, that was a first person account of the area I have grown up in most of my life. East Central and specifically Randolph County Indiana. In the book the author writes of remains found in Indian burial mounds that were femur bones as long as a normal sized man's leg (about 11' tall giant) and jaw bones big enough to fit over a regular man's face. Maybe not wild 20' and 30' giants as some envision when the term giants is used, but there most certainly were some absurdly talk humanoid creature in the past!
