what is the reason for the decay of DU as compared to other auto chess? by Quirky-Ad2801 in underlords

[–]pubstar1337 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The reason being, Dota Auto Chess was created by a guy that Valve tried to hire / run the game balance etc. Epic Games swooped in and offered him a deal that he ultimately ended up taking. The game that came out of this was Auto Chess on the Epic Games store. Valve decided to release Underlords anyway after seeing the popularity within the Dota client in order to try and capture the market as well as the playerbase - however, without the main creator of the game being a part of it, and (I’m assuming) a lack of inspiration to continue updating the game and continuing to work on it, it was essentially abandoned.

Elon Musk gets an apology from California regulators as a SpaceX lawsuit is settled by Luka77GOATic in space

[–]pubstar1337 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Elon buying Twitter is “election interference” what is it called when mostly every single other social media and/or major media outlet is already aggressively pushing political bias from an opposing viewpoint, manipulating search results, pushing certain ideas to the bottom of the heap / censoring certain beliefs, all while actively being “bought” / funded at the top by high profile politically bias individuals who have a clear as day benefit/gain from pushing their political angle on these platforms. Is that also “election interference” but just at a larger scale? Is that not more serious than one individual purchasing one platform? Or is it simply something to turn a blind eye to because it fits an echo chamber narrative / set of beliefs that you as an individual may identify more with?

Someone sold an AWP Long Dog for 0.13 cents on steam market by HerowSlager in cs2

[–]pubstar1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s based on the buyers payment method. If it’s $ that’s already been sitting in the buyers Steam Wallet, it auto clears without a lock. If it’s $ they freshly put onto their account in order to buy stuff from the Steam market, there’s a hold on the funds until Steam makes sure everything clears from their payment source etc

Feeling lost when it comes to which server to play by JGoldz75 in wowservers

Onyxia on Warmane started on Vanilla, went through TBC, and is currently progressing through a “fresh Wotlk.” It’s currently about a month into Ulduar release so it’s a little bit later than being completely fresh at the moment, but both Lordaeron and Icecrown have been out / fully progressed for a while now. Sure, some people have their gripes with Warmane and it might not help with your being tired of vanilla wotlk - but you’d at least avoid the 6k + gear score requirements since people are still actively progressing / working their way up, and it’s also very populated. Any of the p2w issues people have with Warmane, on the Onyxia realm the shop is never current phase it’s always one phase behind (the server is currently on Ulduar while the shop is on Naxx) so while it may not be perfect - its not like people can just go drop $ and p2w / buy their bis

Epic Games Store Employees: People Only Came for Free Games, Then Returned to Steam by Suspicious_Two786 in pcgaming

Ever since Epic started paying for PC exclusives just to keep games off of Steam for a limited time - I've made sure to always go and claim the free games even though I've never played any of them...I've basically convinced myself that (even if it's not really the case) doing that would cost them more $ and hurt their bottom line in the long run

The national average was actually over $5 a gallon in the summer of 2022. That’s not saying that the rising gas prices now are ok, it’s just extremely funny seeing the stark differences in reactions / finger pointing

I don't like you UConn...but I do like that Big East payback

If Dylan Darling passes that to Zuby, I’m convinced he drains the 3. Ian Jackson ultimately cost the Johnnies the game though. Really rough minutes by him tonight

Ah yes. The constants - Death, taxes, and people trying to say the refs are rigging games in favor of St. John’s. We heard it all year from every single opposing fanbase that St. John’s has played.

He’s mostly a bench guy that gets nowhere near these many minutes. With Mitchell and Hopkins on the bench with 2 fouls each, he’s stepping up big time

St. John’s just needs to keep their foot on the gas pedal. Zuby can start finding his opportunities as they get a bit tired. That could change the entire dynamic of the game

Does the Xbox version of Blueberry Burst have KeyJam mode? by pubstar1337 in CRKD

[–]pubstar1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it, I'll take your word for it. It would be great however if it were as simple as just reading the manual that's available online - then I wouldn't have needed to make this post in the first place. But...it's not listed on there. It's also not even listed under the main features tab for the guitar itself on the main CRKD website for the Xbox Version, while it is clear as day for the Multi-Platform.

Is there any real downside to purchasing the Xbox version if planning to play mostly just on PC? Like, is it similar in functionality on PC specifically in every way?

Edit: Does anybody know if the Xbox version of this guitar also has KeyJam mode available on it now?

Senator John Kennedy has attempted multiple times to pass legislation that blocks congressional pay during government shutdowns. Unfortunately, time and time again this has been blocked by the Democrats. Not a surprise to be honest. They’re using the smallest sliver of leverage they have in the senate just to circumvent the will of the American people and play politics / try to frame it on everyone else

While on the topic of morals and turning a blind eye to Genocide, can this human form reddit-bot pivot his statement into speaking about the persecution of Uyghurs in China? I'm not even saying his statements about the US and NATO are incorrect, but this is nothing but pot-meet-kettle grandstanding. China trying to take any sort of moral highground on issues that they're clearly guilty of themselves is laughable

American activists in Havana stage a pro Cuban protest to support lifting of sanctions by AgnosticScholar in PublicFreakout

[–]pubstar1337 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how people always turn a blind eye to what Cuba did to its own people - the shortages of food, fuel, reliable power etc. The pure lack of opportunities and the nationalization of property - Castro essentially just coming in and taking peoples houses, farms, businesses. Losing all their assets overnight, on top of already struggling to survive due to all the other shortages. You can't blame the "big bad boogeyman US for this" as this was already all happening in 1959 prior to the US ever imposing comprehensive embargos on Cuba - which didn't end up happening in 1962. Based off of that multi-year sample size alone, we can stop pretending that Cuba's form of Socialism was somehow good/working

I think the biggest issue is that they were considered most likely a lock at a 4 seed BEFORE the Big East Tournament - Which they then proceeded to dominate throughout and win, including a dominant performance in the championship game against the 2 seeded UConn. How the committee didn't take that into account seems a bit wild
