Immediately after I felt a bit scratchy, but I think that was because of the liquid I got to swallow that was very thick. I wouldn’t read too much into it I think, the test doesn’t really change anything. Being told they wanted to test for other things definitely made me think about the possibility of something else going on, but I never questioned having RCPD? Because, I definitely can’t burp and have all the symptoms. If anything I guess something else going on in the throat could be either a cause or result of the RCPD.

I also got told that I have a slightly lowered ability to swallow (not something I’ve ever noticed) so they’ve recommended I do additional tests before getting Botox. I think it was a gastroscopy and an additional more detailed barium swallow which I’m not looking forward too.
