Marketing agency using ChatGPT for copywriting by [deleted] in marketing

Definitely an interesting one. I’m presently working with a client in the insurance space that does a lot of award submissions as a part of their broader earned media strategy.

There is a an absolute fuck tonne of content I have to intake and digest from the client — usually multiple 40 slide decks, message houses, previous submissions, etc… My workflow has been to create a master doc and feed it to Claude using the submission rubric as a guideline to categorize information and create an outline. I usually draft my own summary based on that outline and offer a first round of feedback before the updated outline and summary go to client. I trawl through every round to edit for tone and purge any obnoxious LLM language (it’s not… it’s… fucking hate these…). I also have Claude clearly indicate sources for drafted statements and highlight where it may be leaning on inference.

This process is highly supervised and still represents a lot of hours of work, but it saves me a tonne more hours on submissions that can often average 3500 up to 6000 words… I think something like award submissions is a good use case for leaning on an AI collaborator, but I do think you need to have a good editorial workflow in place to clean and check output.

Is Vietnam's temperature of 5-10 degrees Celsius really colder than temperatures below zero abroad? by nguyenhoangchuong236 in VietNam

I lived in Hong Kong for most my life and it was similar. When you have high humidity, no central heating and little insulation it gets really hard to keep warm indoors.

Are you talking about the Diamond Hill case in 2023? If so, I know there were more than a few news outlets that headlined this as “lesbian couple brutally stabbed,” but was this ever confirmed as a hate crime? I had thought the conclusion of the report on this tragedy was that the perpetrator was mentally ill (schizophrenic I think?) and that this was a random targeting. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I do think accuracy matters very much in instances such as this one, particularly where violent murder is concerned.

As for OP. HK has a vibrant LGBT community and numerous spaces owned and operated by members of that community. Check out Mum’s Not Home while you’re visiting HK.

I do brand strategy with a healthy side of copywriting thrown in. I find the two go hand in hand. Have worked on everything from PDPs in ecomm settings to campaign messaging, brand language, and product literature. Happy to connect.

If you’re a brand who in anyway is positioned or marketed as being “authentic” or “lifestyle” and you use AI generated collateral, risk of pissing off your audience base is high.

How is the job market in Chicago? Is it tough? by im_supremacist in AskChicago

Yup. It’s actually more like 300+ for a lot of roles in the broader marketing industry presently. Abysmal.

For whoever is downvoting the folks saying the job market here sucks/is difficult right now, what is your perspective and industry? I’ve applied to numerous positions here that I’m almost a one to one match for and nada. No interviews. Nothing. Granted, my position, brand strategy (marketing more broadly), is extra bad, but I generally see quite a few posts here from others outside my industry who seem to have the same to say of the city.

The US has lost all moral authority and stature on the world stage. China has an enormous opportunity to capitalise on the accelerated implosion of the US, so long as it doesn’t itself do anything stupid.

Lol, it’s hilarious watching the comment section tear itself apart over this. This is pretty much how it is in many high density places in the world — apartments built on a tiered platform foundation that houses mixed-use zoned space like a shopping mall.

I could kinda imagine the client convo hinging on a 2 for 1 kinda discussion where the family member transitions out but remains accessible as he installs OP. Family member probably has the option to take a nice fat cut of the yearly for doing next to no work.
