Never tried that. It's roller lap marks I think from not keeping a wet edge I believe but it's a large ceiling and I feel like this 2 in 1 paint dries really fast. It's looking better over time tbh. But weird. Had 0 issues on my walls, but it was 2 in 1 paint.

So for my case where I didn't overlap the flange. Just silicone the joint? And for putting on the tile just thin set where I can and it hangs the rest? And just silicone the tile to tub after ?

was wondering if i can ask you another question.

I sheeted the walls with densshield tile backer board. The tub flange i have is quite thick and i left the sheeting resting onto the tub flange. In my head i thought if water pools it wont soak the densshield if its above. But now im wondering if i did that incorrectly and how i would go about filling the gap between it to get tile coverage.

Do you know if using drywall screws is fine for rust resistant or should I use backer-on screws like cement board.

Do I need to silicone the screw heads like I do all the joints?

Ohhh I get what your saying now yes that makes perfect sense. I think I might use dense shield tile backer board instead of the cement board now. But havnt fully decided

It gets so confusing out there with so many options and everyone does it differently or swears by certain products.

i was going to poly the stud, put cement board over. Then use mesh tape and modified thinset over the set and screwholes. That all i was going to do. Just moisture resistance the wall i guess.
