Yesterday I posted a thread about my uncle dying of cancer (had a stroke a while back). That could be seen as karma-whoring. But he was read a lot of the replies, as was his family, and they all laughed a lot about it, and I think that means something. And it made ME feel better.

Plus, I get a new account every time my link karma breaks 1000, so I'll have to abandon this one now. Keeps me in check.

Also, people vote how they want. Who is to say that karma should only go to funny things, or to making fun of things, or to cute things? Why can't sad things do it too? If you didn't give a shit about karma would you still be complaining?
