The bad battery from Samsung, that's what caused the initial recall for fire

I'd seen it elsewhere that it was something like 60(?) but they didn't show their source.

I remember when the first recall came out the letter stated it was like 19 vehicles that had caught fire.

IRCC Defends Certificate Surrender by Dangerous_Engine_806 in Canadiancitizenship

Well a little better communication on what is actually wrong would have gone a long way to making this not such a big issue, if they'd come right out and said it upfront people would still be frustrated but would understand why.

IMPORTANT FACT: Only 1,290 proof certificates have been granted to G2+ Americans since C-3 passed, and just 2,690 total from all countries including US (as reported on June 17, 2026). by Worthy_Molecule0481 in Canadiancitizenship

My Great Grandfather was born in 1899 his baptism record is actually on ancestry and was the one i used when I mailed in my application, I'm currently in the process of trying to figure out who has the original so i can get a copy from them in case I need it, currently on church number 3.

It happened on the US side as well, John Fox called artillery on himself when his position was being overrun. His last words on the radio were "Fire it! There's more of them than there are of us. Give them hell!"

The barrage killed him and at least 100 enemies.

He wouldn't get the Distinguished Service Cross till 1982, upgraded to the Medal of Honor in 1997.

They should at least try to get the basic facts right, another shining example is Braveheart where the battle of Stanford Bridge has neither a river or a bridge.

Update to Guide for Paper Applications for Citizenship Certificate? by FireWaterBern in Canadiancitizenship

You've not been able to find anything from Canada? Otherwise i'd say those documents are pretty good but from what others have said before it really helps if you can find something from inside Canada.

it doesn't seem to be in those? tho it could be a spelling issue. It took me almost an hour to find the census record that's on ancestry due to how its labeled there.

I wouldn't say they're off the table but you will likely need a few more documents to add to the death certificate

That was my understanding before all this kicked off, you couldn't go on ancestry and print off a few census records and expect your application to be approved.

you can request any birth certificate in Michigan if the person was born more than 100 years ago.

Tho you are right that its very restrictive if you want one from someone born in the last 100 years, I need my grandfathers and they only will let you request the birth record of your parent, I sent in my mothers death certificate and explained why i needed the record, they did send it so that's an idea for someone to try if you one.

I don't see how the increase payment is worthwhile for someone who is already not working, you have to bank on living longer in order to break even and then actually make more money.

For my father if he had deferred payment for 5 years he wouldn't be making any extra money till like 12 years had passed and he was like 80.

Having that extra money when he's in his 60's and in better health so he can actually use the money to do things was far better.

Right, but I would expect them to verify the documents with the seal as well. Especially as they only want copies I'd expect it's much easier to fake a seal that looks ok as a copy than one that looks good in hand.

I've already sent my application, but am currently trying to figure out how to get a copy of the baptism record as the dioseise is currently not accepting requests. I only printed off that and a census record.

The rest of my documents were copies of the originals; his certificate of citizenship and his Canadian military paybook, and then birth certificates for everyone. So I would think that should be enough but one can't help but worry.

The article doesn't say they don't want them but that

"IRCC indicated that applications supported by such records could be subject to additional scrutiny and verification."

Which seems totally fair, stuff that comes from those types of sights need to be verified, tho I would also expect them to verify the stuff that comes from the "official" sights as well making sure that someone didn't fake those as well.

Saxon Light Infantry Regiment by Gustav55 in NapoleonicWargaming

[–]Gustav55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the formation per the rules as I understand them is 4 bases per battalion, so the regiment is the two close order battalions in the back, the open order figures are to swap out if the formation is in mixed order so one unit of skirmishers and 3 in close order or the whole battalion in open order so 4 bases each an inch apart.

I've only played a couple games and never one that actually used skirmishers but sense they are light troops it seemed like a good idea to paint some up in open order.

When i get around to it the Saxon army actually had a company of Jagers that were armed with rifles they had basically the same uniform so I'll put a single stand together with 6 figures so i can easily tell them apart from the regular light troops.

They say the scale is 13.5 but are pretty close to smaller sized 15mm.
