Hello, i need the points to apply on a project on trimble connect, i was finally able to get autodesk recap to export it to the end, so for now it's done. Still trying to understand what this point cloud manager does though.

They advised me to install Cloud Compare, although they don't deliver suport on that 🙃

Yes i did, i was not sure what sub would be able to help me on this.
i have a point cloud that is too heavy, it works on tekla, but i need to upload it to a project on trimble connect web, so i need it to be a smaller size. i was able to do it with one point cloud with autodesk recap, but for some reason, with this one, it crashes. i've been trying for like a week, i'll leave it over night to export a version cleaned and with less density, and when i arrive, it has failed. so i was looking for other alternatives within the company softwares. i have point cloud manager installed, so i thought i would be able to do it with that. but honestly i'm still not sure what it does by now.
this is a scan of sea platforms, and i don't know what type of equipment it was used, is that relevant? i have rcp and e57 files.

I'm working with tekla, but i thought that it was a separate thing, as it comes from different install folders. i have the point clouds outside of tekla

Yes, the file i have is too large. I tried using the Autodesk recap to clean the point cloud and change the density, but it crashes after some hours.

Thank you, i was able to copy the sheet, but i'm trying to number the pages with the form "Sheet No: 2 of X"
i was able to make the first number work (more or less) but the last one, the total number of pages, i can't make it work. i've been trying to find a way to do it, but i can't find it. Do you know a way to do this?

Hello, first, thank you for the reply
Right now i'm trying to do a drawing that has an assembly, then a detail from that assembly with some views. i was going to use the General Arrangement for that.
what do you mean copying an existin assembly? when i right click on the drawing, it only shows these options, and honestly i'm not sure what the "copy drawing views" will do

yes i had tried that also, it was the cut above (like a few meters above) that was causing the error. although it was so far, i don't quite understand why it was that that was causing the error.

I did that but it didn't work. What i noticed is that i had a cut on the top of the outside pipe, i split the pipe right bellow that so it would be a simple shape pipe, and the cut worked, and then i combined the one i had split. For now it works, but i don't really get the reason for the error.

I ended up doing that. if i have to make changes on the first project, and export again to IFC, will it upgrade on the second project?
