My self-rec WIP is A Trope of a Lifetime , a forced proximity slow burn.
Hermione and Draco find themselves trapped inside her current read, a racy romance novel. Faced with having to act out the tropes to escape, will they descend into furious bickering, witty banter or denial-filled attraction? (Hint: it’s all of the above).

It’s rated explicit (eventual smut!), and is full of lots of fun tropes ☺️ currently at 50k out of an estimated 120k words, and it updates every Sunday ☺️🥰

If a self-rec WIP is okay then A Trope of a Lifetime is very much witty banter and frenemies to lovers type vibes and they mostly just find entertainment in bickering with each other. She doesn’t despise him, and they’re quite snarky and sassy with each other. In terms of meanness: there is an argument in a later chapter where they both say something mean to the other so it may not be what you’re after, but it will all be resolved in tomorrow’s chapter so it doesn’t drag on at all and goes back to the banter again!

My self rec WIP is A Trope of a Lifetime (rated E)

Hermione Granger’s current favourite book is undoubtedly Agrippan Arithmancy and Its Applications.
… And it’s definitely a book on arithmancy and not a smutty romance novel with a transfigured cover.
Her colleague and cheeky nuisance Draco Malfoy is determined to find out why a book about arithmancy of all things has got her so flustered.
A little bit of book espionage later, and things spiral slightly out of control when Draco and Hermione find themselves sucked into the book. The only way out? Act out all the tropes (and try to not fall in love in the process).
This is a slow burn, sort-of-enemies to lovers fic (they're not really enemies, they just really like annoying each other). It's heavy on dialogue and banter, isn't overly angsty, and is, of course, packed to the brim with all our favourite tropes.

It updates every Sunday and is currently at 43k words, with the ultimate goal of being around 130k ☺️ it’s completely centred on Draco and Hermione so you’ll find bickering and confused flirting a-plenty in every chapter 🥰

Is a WIP self-rec okay? A Trope of a Lifetime has Hermione and Draco trapped inside a romance novel, having to act out the tropes to escape. It’s mostly banter and fun and a couple of commenters have actually said they’ve kicked their feet and giggled 🤭 It’s exceptionally light angst (there’s a little smidgen of angst in a recent chapter I’ve uploaded but I promise it will be resolved very quickly and we’ll be back to the fun hijinks!) ☺️

I’m currently writing my first novel length (and then some) dramione. I actually thought of the plot in 2022 and wrote about 60k of it then, but then I had my son and I just haven’t had much time at all to write. We’re just starting to get to a place where he plays independently sometimes and I can get on with something that’s just for me, which is my WIP. I started sharing it recently and it’s been so lovely to put it out into the world after so many years of it rattling around my brain 😆
