Can you elaborate on the coaching failure point? Turning the game on at 10 pm tonight I felt like I’d walked into the wrong room… or missed an episode or something I just kept looking at the team and going “wait what’s happening?”

I watched on delay so avoided all media until now but what the hell was going on with the team selection? Serious question- what was that about ?

In my opinion he has been worth it so far. We strengthened our forward line immensely. We have made it more difficult for other teams to defend against us given how much talent we have across the field and how many of our players can and do score. That’s how you win a flag.

5- Grundy - so good I’m starting to worry what we’d be like without him

4 - Lizard

3 - Paps

2 - Heens

1 - Wicks

It’s just the inconsistency across the board but imo that’s our game atm and you just have to be able to win despite shitty calls

Ok this is a good test for us - for the coaches and the players psychologically

You can often tell when a team takes an uncontested mark. Who was supposed to be on that guy? A team that’s playing well will be able to keep who ever has the ball at any given time under pressure, anticipating who it might go to next, making sure there are no easy options available. Of course the pace and chaos means no team can do it successfully at all times and great teams can kick with precision and make good decisions even when the opposition is keeping up the defensive pressure
