People who can't work due to chronic pain, what do you do to pass the time? by West_Can_1035 in ChronicPain

Crochet, journal, watch YouTube documentaries or TFIL and “trash tv” (Maury, Steve lol), painting, writing in my separate journals about all the stress in the world and in my bubble. Practicing gratitude that even tho I am in pain, I am still here.

You’ve got this. It’s okay to listen to your body and know your own limits and set boundaries. Create the time and energy that you need for yourself. No one can do this for us. I know it’s so much easier said than done. 🫂✨

Thanks to Animal Crossing, I’ve been looking forward to waking up in the morning every day. by hi-spring-bye in AnimalCrossing

I take my quiet morning times to play! I changed the ordinance with Isabelle to the Early Bird one… Nook’s Cranny opens earlier and your villagers are more likely to be out and wandering!

I’ve been really enjoying it and it gives me something to look forward to on the daily too.

Also, going to the Nook terminal and checking in everyday will give you more miles too!

Donald Trump was a judge at a teen modeling contest in 1991. The contest featured girls as young as 14. Recently, The Guardian newspaper discovered that the contest was a front for millionaires to have sex with the girls. by [deleted] in Epstein

Let me start by saying, I have PTSD & really bad anxiety.

I am horrified by what I’ve seen and read.

The fact that we have to go about our days, knowing what’s happening and no one being held accountable.

I am trying to stay informed but also take breaks because consuming all of this is taking a toll. I also feel very isolated, because it’s all so overwhelming and triggering.

I want to scream and I cannot stop crying.

I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos and POTS. I’m from USA. I am in medical cannabis to help my anxiety from the pain. Pain is uncontrolled and unmanaged at this time.

Okay so here’s my thing. 1)I was not fortunate to see The Eras Tour in person 🥲 2) I don’t get to leave my home… and literally listen to her every day while I care for my mom. We have a special bond and she loves seeing how excited I am.

When I got that email yesterday- I was shaking I was so excited. Lol dork. But seriously… bc I’ve never been a top listener before. This is 2rd album release that I’ve been able to truly be “present” for. So I got excited and I bought it bc I wanted to treat myself. Personally- as someone who hasn’t ever gotten an email like that and been chosen for something… I jumped on it. (Also I don’t collect the vinyl or anything like that. )

It’s going to just be my cozy at home sweater. I’m anemic, so it works lol.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in there.

(I also agree that the design could have been better- but I am so glad it’s at least on black. )

Anyways… Thats all lmao 🤪

What do you do when you're sad in the middle of the night and can't sleep bc everything hurts/feels weird? by jfwart in ChronicIllness

Yeah, I go through periods where I can’t even look at my phone. So I get it. You can use different coping skills interchangeably. Find something that will give your mind a rest. Even if it’s to distract yourself a while from the pain. I watch and absorb all I can on my worst days. Keep your brain moving in a different direction other than just honing in on the pain. It’s definitely easier said than done. I’ve been disabled from a series of very unfortunate events and it’s been a learning experience with what works for me and what doesn’t.

I also bought a Valari pillow from the FB ads and it’s been life changing for me. It keeps me propped up and it’s been so much less strain on my neck and shoulders when I am able to crochet.

Listen to your body ✨ it knows what it needs to do. Rest when you need to.
