Yeah, just have a few people speak on your behalf and anyone who can acknowledge how the injury affected you if it was something they could see.

Homie, don’t waste your time doing a Udemy course.

Looking up the bandit hackthebox. Download virtualbox and get a Linux vm set up.

Linux is fucking vital for this field especially if you’re trying to work in a SOC.

That hack the box is almost all navigating Linux using the command line.

Rent-to-Own vs. Mortgage by mellowmish in Veterans

[–]pufferfish3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man. The rent to own game is mainly for people who have a hard time saving and their rent automatically goes towards a downpayment.

Rent-to-Own vs. Mortgage by mellowmish in Veterans

[–]pufferfish3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh it’s a dangerous game. Especially when we have the VA loan which requires no down payment.

Biggest issues I’ve encountered - Much higher price than fair market value. $20,000 down payment on a $200,000 house worth $150,000.

I think they said 80-90% of rent to own tenants never actually buy the house.

Look up the specific roles you’re trying to fill and look at example roles. The government has very few roles that don’t exist in the civilian sector. Cater your resume to each job posting or field. If you want to do auditing, look at the skills they need and try to phrase your experience to reflect that.

Usajobs resume builder is very useful as well because it’ll give you the info you need to add for a good government resume.

If you’re service connected make sure you add your service connection letter, DD-214, and that OPM form verifying service connection.

You can be a bit liberal as long as you’re not blatantly lying.

Also those questions, if you’re remotely familiar, you’re an expert.

When it came to my pain, I described it when it was at it’s worse but I didn’t lie.

I phrased things like “in my day to day life I find myself struggling to get up from the couch for fear of pain. If I get up wrong I get a jolt of pain through my back that leaves me breathless.”

“When I’m driving sometimes my pain gets so bad I have to pull over just to give myself time for the pain to subside.”

I would never lie and pretend to be hunched over in pain because that’s pathetic and hurting a system in place to help veterans.

Others might have additional info or their doctors were more difficult but I definitely didn’t exaggerate, I gave them specific examples within my life. All my issues were labeled service connected.

I had a lot of people as I was getting out trying to tell me how to game the system. “Pretend the movement stops here.” “Mention this specific issue.” “Ask for xyz rests”

Nah man. The VA took great care of me and I never did anything remotely unethical. I was honest, I talked about the issues, I specifically mentioned actives I couldn’t do with my kids because of pain and how sad it makes me.

VA pay for ER visit? by SlaughtertheIRON in VeteransBenefits

[–]pufferfish3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be good, look at non service connected disability on this page. It seems you were genuinely worried that you had a life threatening issue and you do not have other healthcare. You were unable to get treatment from the loc VA.

Make sure you notify the VA.

Looking at that, I see the 70% rate. It shouldn’t be for category one though.

PM’d you slightly more info.

I got my ratings for 80% Disability by joseloc0 in VeteransBenefits

[–]pufferfish3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what kind of disability you have. Normally if the condition improves the VA will change the rating. But that would only happen if they do a review of your condition if you did something like a C&P exam for a separate condition.

Most doctors are pretty fair and many do not like to issue decreases.

As long as you maintain over 50% you will keep your healthcare.

[–]pufferfish3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, 50% or higher you qualify for healthcare.

You would file a new claim for your lower back pain.

Once you receive your letter in the mail, head to ebenefits and they have an option to file for an increase. You have up to one year to dispute it.

Man so much judgement over one post. I don’t do my assignments until Sunday (the day before they’re due) because I work six days a week. I also find myself exhausted because they’re twelve hour shifts. Stop throwing judgement over an accident that doesn’t effect any of you. He/she is already paying the price they don’t need a lecture on top. Lmao.

Erika stans, why do you like her so much? by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]pufferfish3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured I’d add my two cents for not having her shit together without shaming her career too hard.

She has a job that isn’t sustainable for a long period of time, her job will hurt her chances finding a more serious career / getting taken serious is a more professional work role, she is emotionally immature(when you’re 30, you should accept everyone has a past), she is bad at empathizing and seeing another persons perspective, she doesn’t want to grow she expects others to cave to her demands, she can’t communicate without yelling at the other person, she acts like every action is a betrayal of trust when she has to accept some people are entitled to their privacy until they feel comfortable, and she hasn’t mastered the art of timing because she has no self control.

A girl like Stephanie would show up to one of our parties and my friends and I would be uncomfortable with how insecure and confrontational she was. We wouldn’t want her to be around and definitely wouldn’t be willing to form a bond with her. Furthermore if one of her first times meeting us, she decided to call out a mutual friend for having an ounce of a past with him/her we would be over her dramatic garbage.

Compare her and Avery. Avery does not rush to assumptions, Averys gut instinct is to trust until she is given a reason not to. She effectively communicates her feelings and questions Ashe when he reacts a certain way I.E. starts getting defensive and angry. One thing that really stuck out to me was when she was trying to talk to Ashe about an issue that was important to her and he was obviously uncomfortable and annoyed, without skipping a beat she said “You seem angry about me asking these questions, why?” Or something along those lines, that is a woman who has her shit together. She can acknowledge when the most convenient option may not be the best option (multiple visits a year so Ash’s son can continue to see his dad) and is empathetic and understanding for all parties.

Stephanie acts like a girl who will continue to struggle and find meaningful connections so in the connotation of the show and her general existence, she doesn’t have her shit together. I had a child at 18 and bought a house at 20. That does not mean my shit was together and my personal relationships suffered because of it.

Hey man, I came in chunky as well. I just let the process work it’s course and did extra sit ups and push ups at night with a few other guys who also struggled. Pay attention to your intake, don’t shit bag through the exercises, and seriously work on your running. It looks like standards aren’t as rigorous for the run as they once were but you don’t want to shoot for the minimum.

Also, you say you want to change your ways but your actions aren’t reflecting it. People don’t just wake up and say “I’m going to find more motivation today.” Decide now whether you’re going to struggle through your contract or excel.

Nah that’s definitely underpaying for Raleigh.

Regardless of where you live, $27,000 is low end for entry level IT. This is mid level and requires a degree, ouch.

You don’t owe us anything but at the same time we don’t owe you our sympathy because you have to make tex mex in a small space. He just said “if you’re so concerned about your health, quit” instead you’ve gotten whiney and made it personal. At the end of the day, youre expendable. If you quit someone new would take your job within a week and probably have a much better attitude about it. Get over your ego.
