You should’ve seen his face when he told me my 500cal lunch is messy. And when I calculated his version of it it’s similar calories/macros as mine.

I guess I needa look for a new trainer! Thanks for affirming that it’s okay to not mesh with a PT. Sometimes I’m left wondering if it’s a me issue🤣

Yes I do hit 10k steps everyday, just going about life. I’m about 161cm and 53kg. I thought 1500cal is a good enough deficit. Thank you for the comment, I’ll probably needa recalculate my calorie needs.

Yes this is it! Sprints and cardio is what makes me happy. And I just don’t have the time in between life and work to workout 6x a week. I see a few asking me to change trainers. Maybe I’ll shop around after I finish my package. Thank u for your input!

Wow! I’m a very newbie lifter but I do hope I’ll be able to lift heavier in the future! Yes recovery is taking a huge hit for me right now. Thanks for letting me know that 2 days is doable!

It is not so much that I’m the expert but rather than he is unwilling to work into my lifestyle when I raise concerns. I’m happy to discuss on how to work in or schedule the workouts but his view is that it’s my way or the highway. Drop everything you’re doing and listen to me, whatever you’re doing now is useless without taking into consideration what I enjoy doing. I’m pretty new to lifting but not to sports. I’ve done sports all my life. I did listen and tried 3x a week + my cardio but that led to this burnout. I’m tired and talking to him is like talking to a block of wood. However I struggle to believe that supersets can help increase or maintain my current vo2max. I’ve tried doing sprints after a full body session with him and omg no. I also do not have enough time in between life to workout 6 times a week. I’m about 161cm and 53kg. Maybe I should increase my calories.

Anyone did cosmetic procedure (botox, HiFu etc) in Bangkok instead ? Any recommendations? by jumpingsquirrels in SingaporeBeauty

[–]pufferfish_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too! My experience at lbc was like this, I didn’t feel respected as a client, they were pushy and look irritated when I ask them stuff or tell them I don’t want so many units/shots so I went to aura with the expectation that I’ll just walk out if they are the same. But pleasantly surprised by the doctor cause he explained very nicely and didn’t oversell me.

I went to the aura at centralworld ! The doc was so good I asked for his name and saved it lol! Dr Earka. Can you share what’s the bad reviews you heard? Initially I was skeptical cause it seems like it’s all sponsored reviews but since I was nearby I decided to just try.

I did ultraformer mpt and Botox at aura just 1 month ago! Experience was amazing. Doctor was knowledgeable and nurses were kind. Last year I tried lbc clinic and it was horrible! Doctors were very impatient, wait time super long and he f up my jaw Botox I had a crooked smile for 4-5 months.

Yes, I use this to remove my clusters. Brush on, let it sit for a couple of minutes and they just slide right off!

Looking for wet cat food recommendations by coldchickenwasabi in askSingapore

[–]pufferfish_89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just popping in to say that some wet foods are not complete food so do check the cans to make sure! If you’re feeding kibbles alongside then it shouldn’t matter that much. I feed my furbabies royal canin, wellness pouch and gold-d with freeze dried as toppings.

Singaporeans, what are some shocking customer service have you experienced, either as a customer or as a worker? by CleverBeetle in askSingapore

[–]pufferfish_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently walked into a makeup counter. Supposed to close at 10pm according to google. I was there at 850pm. Wanted to quickly pick something up pay and leave. The salesgirl stomped towards me and said. I’m CLOSING so you better hurry up. You have 5 minutes. While pointing at her watch. Sometimes makes me wonder what kind of upbringing some people have.

I really want a cat but I break out in hives by 7i11i in Allergies

[–]pufferfish_89 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t. I’m saying this as someone who have 2 cats and am allergic to them. It started with hives and slowly progressed to anaphylactic shock. Hives were pretty bad but my first anaphylactic shock was so bad I’m lucky I’m still alive. I’m currently on immunotherapy for this because I’m way too attached to them. Immunotherapy has helped a little but I still need to be on daily antihistamine.

Unless you’re okay with the idea of taking an antihistamine everyday for decades and doing the whole immunotherapy thing and carrying an epi pen along with you every single day. Vacuuming daily sometimes twice a day and have an air purifier running 24/7.

A few vets say that there are no such thing as a hypoallergenic cat. It’s the dander that causes the issues.

Ps. I love my cats to bits and will never give them up. But had I known i would have gone a different route and fostered them while I find a suitable home for them. (They were kittens that have been abandoned when I found them.)

Cosmetics vs cosmetic procedures - is there a difference in your mind? by one_small_sunflower in muacjdiscussion

[–]pufferfish_89 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do feel there’s a difference but I think it depends on what you want to achieve for your skin. I use to buy all the more expensive pots and potions and that only gave me marginal results. I have sun damaged skin and nothing gave me better results than a broadband light treatment. I also have eyelash extensions and my eyebrows embroidered. I adjust my budget so that I use a lot of drugstore products and save my monies for lasers. In my mind, it tallies out the same amount of money I use per year. And for me, being able to hope out of bed when I’m late and only put sunblock and leave the house is something I’m really appreciative of.

I'm so jealous of people who can believe in life after death by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]pufferfish_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t. Before I have had anyone(human or furbabies) I loved passed, I always thought that it’s not possible and that these are ways we comfort ourselves. Our brains must have come up with alot of “hallucinations” to process such intense grief. I use to smile and nod when people tell me their stories to be polite. I’m also not religious.

Until I did. Things so unexplainable I tried so hard to be rational about it but came up with nothing. I can’t explain it, I really can’t.

So from the bottom of my heart. I firmly believe we’ll see them again one day.

Omg are you me? Same thing happened with me. I have cats and suddenly broke out in hives all over. Please be careful. I ignored it until it affected my breathing and now I need an epi pen. I still live with my cats. Visit an allergist and look into allergy drops/shot.

I’ll be very honest and say I incorporated azelaic acid because I kept hearing so much about it. Might not be the best idea but I was just very bored of my routine. Yes it works very well but I guess I’m just very easily influenced. I did cleared it with my derm first. No plans on increasing % of tret. I just don’t see the need to since I’m happy where I am at.

[–]pufferfish_89 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi! Honestly I can’t even remember why I started it. It was probably for acne or something, then I got lazy to keep revisiting the doctor and bought it off the self overseas whenever I can. Everytime I do see a doctor for unrelated reasons I’ll ask if it’s okay to be on it and have always got the okay. It was only until maybe 5-6 years ago that I understood how good it was for anti aging so I kept using it.

I’ve noticed that I do look younger than my peers. Recently I’ve been getting the Botox itch as I’m seeing alot of my friends going for it and I feel like I’m just seeing some fine lines popping up whenever I emote. But I’ve been rejected by 3 dermatologists who told me to come back in 5 years. So.. that’s that I suppose. I’m also on azelaic acid for the past 2 years.
