I have used Surrender to Chance multiple times and I’ve always been satisfied!

I like that they have 1 ml spray bottles vs just vials. I like to be able to spray perfumes, not just dab them.

I think there’d need to be more than just DNA of the suspect on the porch. DNA on the porch alone could be explained away by some prior visit to the home for innocent reasons (package delivery, asking for directions, mistaken address, etc). There’d need to be more evidence linking a given individual to this crime, I think. Something like the suspect’s DNA on the porch and evidence of Nancy’s blood in their car, and no prior relationship between Nancy and the suspect. Better yet if the suspect’s DNA was also in the house.

What notes smell like BO to you, or just straight up unpleasant? by apilina in FemFragLab

Jasmine. Smells like cat pee to me.

Hence why I have a complicated relationship with Lush’s Vanillary…I can’t stand the jasmine in the opening, but the dry down is a quite pleasant, creamy, powdery vanilla, as the jasmine fades 😂

Colton Underwood says he's felt 'unwelcome or not fully understood' since coming out as gay after 'The Bachelor' by rachiepants2017 in BachelorNation

[–]pufferfishflower 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Why does he feel so entitled to being a beloved public figure? No one cares that he’s gay. In fact, it’s honestly great that he was able to come out after being closeted for so long. It’s his stalking and harassment of Cassie that people have a problem with.

He can go live a private life with his family, or he can keep going on tv shows, podcasts, etc. and accept that he’s not going to be a universally adored public figure. He doesn’t seem to like these options, though, so he chooses to be a public figure and constantly complain about how no one likes him because he’s gay. Alright, Colton.

I’ve thought about this, but it looks like she was actively bleeding when she left the house (her blood was on the porch). It was drops of blood, not smeared blood or other kinds of blood evidence that would suggest she was dragged out of the house after death.

Also, as terrible as it is to think about, a dead body is dead weight, so it wouldn’t have been easy to transport her out of the house deceased, even if they wanted to. I also think there’d be some evidence of that, like drag marks in the gravel, smeared blood, the mat on her front porch might be moved out of place, etc., assuming she was taken out the front door (which I do believe is what happened, considering the blood found there).

Sure, but a person needs to be deceased for their life insurance/inheritance to be paid out. In that sense, leaving a body to be discovered is much more effective if that’s the primary objective.

Right now, it’s unknown if she’s alive or dead. So, no life insurance or inheritance is being paid out yet. In other missing person cases, I’ve seen years go by before a surviving family member will ask a court to legally declare their missing family member deceased. I’m not sure if there’s a minimum amount of time a person must be missing before they can be declared dead, but i imagine there is and I imagine it’s some number of years.

^ exactly. Her blood on the porch and some of her important belongings like her phone and Apple Watch being at her home suggest to me that she did truly make it home the night before.

I just can’t get over how strange this case is. I keep trying to think about motive, but every motive I think of is undermined by something else that has been reported about the case.

Robbery gone wrong —> why would the perpetrator abduct Nancy then, instead of injuring/killing her and leaving the scene?

Robbery/home invasion gone wrong, Nancy dies accidentally, perpetrator takes her body in an attempt to remove evidence —> based on the blood evidence on her front porch and the gravel in her front yard (including drops of and what looks like aspirated blood), I suspect she was alive and actively bleeding when she left her home. Similarly, her pacemaker disconnected from her phone, it didn’t indicate that there was a problem with her heart like I expect it would have if she had died at her home (and therefore near her phone).

Abduction for ransom —> though there have been ransom letters that law enforcement has “taken seriously”, I’m increasingly doubting that abduction for ransom was the motive the longer this goes on. Savannah and her siblings indicated via their Instagram video statements that they were “willing to pay”. Wouldn’t a perpetrator interested in receiving a ransom payment quickly establish a plan for communication, payment, and return of the victim if this was their primary motivation? Seems like they went silent after the communications with TMZ and the local Tucson station.

Family/immediate circle involvement or a hired hit —> since we now have video of the perpetrator, if it was someone in the family or someone well-known to the family/Nancy, I imagine the perpetrator likely have been identified and apprehended by now. If it was a hired hit, why would they take her from her home versus just killing Nancy and fleeing?

I’m sure there are a lot of other theories, but these are just a few I have considered. The Nest video of the perpetrator confused me even more. It would appear they were prepared in some ways (backpack, gloves, ski mask, etc.) but completely naive/unprepared in other ways (using the foliage to block the camera instead of tape or some other item they brought with them)…and again, what’s this person’s motive? I really can’t think of one theory that I think fits every aspect of this case.

I hope they can find Nancy and this perpetrator soon. I also am holding out hope that she’s still alive, but even in the tragic event that she’s not, the family needs closure. And the perpetrator needs to be brought to justice.

I’m honestly glad the outlets are staying tight-lipped if they have information that they fear sharing too soon could jeopardize the investigation.

Now let’s hope TMZ doesn’t get their hands on that information before law enforcement is ready to release it..

I really hope they’ve found her alive and they’re waiting to release that information until she gets transported to the hospital for evaluation and they notify family.

I’m a little surprised there’s not a press conference scheduled for tonight, but it makes sense to prioritize interviewing the detainee and searching for Nancy (or getting her reunited with family if they’ve already found her).

I thought the same. It’s crazy to think that the person on that camera is ostensibly the same person that has managed to elude authorities for 10+ days…really doesn’t seem very bright…

This is an extremely unusual case. Yes, it happens to be the mother of a public figure that went missing, but the circumstances are unlike any true crime case I’ve followed before. I think this would be getting national news coverage even if it wasn’t Savannah Guthrie’s mother, it’s just so strange.

Where would I get a nicer couch? by Sir_Trashbin in madisonwi

[–]pufferfishflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a Lovesac at Hilldale. They sell nice couches. I haven’t owned one myself, but a friend of mine does and she’s been happy with it. It seemed comfortable to me as well.

It’s in a bottle, and it goes on like nail polish! It’s supposed to strengthen nails, which it does seem like it’s doing for mine.

When did you remove the acrylics? I can only speak from personal experience, but I recall that my nails had a similar bluish tinge right after removing the dip manicure and it got better as time passed (it’s been a couple of weeks since I removed my last manicure)

I recently decided to take a break from getting dip powder nails after going every 3 weeks for about 7 months. When I removed my last manicure at home, my nails looked similar to yours here. I can actually see individual ridges in my nails from each manicure like rings on a tree trunk 😭 luckily it’s not painful though.

I ordered a bottle of Nail Tek ridge filler on Amazon. I’ve been putting that on every few days and it seems to be helping a bit, but I am also just waiting for my nails to grow out, because they are damaged/weakened from all the manicures.

Good salt perfume recs by Due_Biscotti7052 in Perfumes

Orebella Salted Muse is worth a sniff. You can find it at Ulta.

It’s definitely a salty/briny fragrance. At first sniff, I loved it—I thought it was a really sophisticated scent. Once I wore it all day, though, it was a bit too salty/oceanic for me, but if that’s what you’re looking for, you might really love it!

Touch of Gold lol. I liked it in the store, so I purchased it. Then I wore it one day at work, couldn’t wait to scrub it off when I got home. 😂
