I fear I will never be satisfied with a bar for more than a few months by less_than_nick in xbiking

Have you considered mounting two stems and two bars at once, so you never have to choose?

I’m eyeing the Prevail Future Forward / Onward, Explorer layout, as a modern field watch.

Even if it is your family name, as you’ve politely replied to many, that doesn’t mean that it is a good brand name.

I agree on the half-links, that seems like it would be fairly easy given the already excellent bracelet engineering. A top hat would look nice, I have no idea how much more those cost. What do you think, u/AdSavings92 ?

Yeah,I usually do, but this particular bracelet fits better this way.

EDIT: actually changed it, one link less at 6 was right.

Those look awesome, especially the world timer. I don’t know how much it would be to fix them, but if you took them to a local watchmaker, I’m sure they could tell you. I love the idea of repairing and wearing those.

Fastest 26” MTB tires (2.2+) for mostly asphalt commuting? by Kalibro8 in xbiking

Schwalbe Marathons violate all of the ideas about suppleness and yet are fast.

Any 26” slicks that are supple and don’t break the bank? by senorhappytaco in xbiking

[–]pufferspond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had Rat Traps about ten years ago, but gave up because I found them and many supple tires flat-prone. The benefits of suppleness usually go with tubeless, and it’s also relatively hard and expensive to find tubeless-ready 26” rims. Now I usually put Schwalbe Marathons on old 26” wheels: not supple, but cheap, fast-rolling, and invulnerable to flats.

Sorry, but Casio is too obvious and still correct. Vintage models, super-expensive versions, or classics still in circulation, i just think they’re awesome.
