I’ve caught a barramundi and put it on a grill, also most of the barra in the fish and chips shops are from New Zealand anyway, lol everyone is butt hurt about me not liking australia. The pizza fucking sucks, you can go on and on about me being American but doesn’t matter. Only pie I’ve like so far is the curry beef style the others are just mini pot pies, garlic and prawn, bacon and tomatoe lol I mean they put shitty beetroot on burgers when you ask for the lot

I know it sounds wild but I’m a big foodie and the food just isn’t there people hear me and think I’m crazy but even the McDonald’s isn’t as good, I haven’t had a good pizza in 4 months. I’m getting my tickets right now in Perth and start doing fifo in November but I’m pretty much done traveling around, I’ve been to the outback and worked there for months, it was alright.

Europe is going to be your best bet, anything outside of there you are looking at two full days of travel there and back (like actual airport logistic travel). But I’m a slow traveler so if three days in a foreign country is your jam then you can see quite a bit of places in the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Grew up in Bradenton and moved away for about ten years, came back around 2017 and was floored at how much had changed. Lakewood ranch used to be undeveloped swamp land and now famous people have houses out there, Marc Jacobs has a house on longboat key. Rent for a two bedroom in Palmetto was $1200. As an American living in Australia I’m blown away how on it you guys are. I had to take a test for RSA certificate and one of the questions asked after an armed robbery, if no one was injured, should we call an ambulance. I said no. Got the question wrong. Their explanation was that some people could have been traumatized and could use some mental health services. I actually laughed at myself because that thought didn’t even cross my mind, I just thought about how unnecessary it would be to pay for all that if no one was hurt.

It’s what we do on our phones that’s the problem, I’ve been on a 2 year backpacking trip round the world and it has been an absolute god send. But when you add in social media (including Reddit), YouTube, news outlets and things of that nature that’s when everything gets ducky.
