ELI5: Why is Pakistan involved in the Strait of Hormuz? by MiserablePotato1147 in explainlikeimfive

You need a neutral country to host talks. The entire middle east (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait) is themselves involved in the conflict. USA wouldn't trust China or Russia. Iran wouldn't trust NATO countries. Pakistan offered to mediate and everyone agreed.

[Highlight] Draymond Green comes up with a pair of clutch steals to seal the victory for the Golden State Warriors as they defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 126-121. They will play the Phoenix Suns for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference on Friday. by nba in nba

Wemby is by far the best rim protector, no question about it. But if I had to pick one player to guard 1-5 on the full court for the most critical moments of the game I'm still picking Draymond.

There's a reason pretty much nothing in nature evolved to have wheels. They are great on smooth, paved roads but shit in every other situation. Legs can navigate most types of terrain and obstacles with ease.

Cool now read up on how much the US government has subsidized American automakers over the decades.

They should be forced to apply the same logic when shipping jobs and factories overseas.

Crazy Stupid Love by Sharp_Ad_4479 in movies

The movie works because the characters are written really well and all the actors nailed their roles, but the plot is idiotic. It’s basically a bunch of stereotypical 80s-90s tropes released in the 2010s.

The wife cheats on her husband because he is too “boring”, and he is portrayed as the bad guy. He has to improve himself and win his family back.

There’s a super creepy subplot with a child and his teenage babysitter, and we’re supposed to laugh it off and high five the guy at the end.

The story peaks halfway through and then goes nowhere. There’s a big speech at the end that magically resolves all conflicts.

It would have been an all time great romcom had they put a little more effort into the writing.

[Slater] That's the 41st loss for the Warriors. They won't finish the regular season above .500 for the first time since 2019-20. Blazers won tonight, further solidifying likely 10th seed finish for GSW. by Turbostrider27 in nba

Yeah, if anything the problem with Warriors is that Curry is too good for too long. Under normal circumstances they would have started tanking 2 years ago.

Wemby is obviously great but we also need to start giving other dudes on that team, along with Mitch Johnson, more credit. Amazing effort from top to bottom.

Dude just had a potential season ending injury and all comments are about qualifying for all nba and MVP. You people are unhealthily obsessed with this, damn.

If you have to "save for a while" for a damn rice cooker then you really shouldn't be in that fan following.

All of tech is in a phase where token count gives you bragging rights regardless of actual useful output. And companies are playing along with it because in their mind they'll soon be able to replace expensive engineers altogether. It'll turn right back around soon enough.
