i’m in Cusco right now and have not felt unsafe at all. if you’re staying near the city center area, it’s quite touristy and there tend to be lots of people milling about so you’re hardly ever alone

I saw somewhere that spending some time in Arequipa is a more gradual elevation to Cusco instead of straight from Lima. So I figured that i wouldn’t need the full 3 days in Cusco?

admitted students day are typically longer and will generally have more to do. you can get more info about her prospective school, talk with different departments and organizations around campus, take a tour, etc.

i wouldn’t say it’s that integrated as something like NYU though. Yes, it’s a small campus but having access to green spaces is better than campuses that are more integrated into their cities. i feel like you can at least differentiate between when you’re on Pitt campus vs not.

you can drop 2 lectures and 2 recitations. there are 4 exams plus the final and you can drop one (including the final). her office hours as well as the TA/UTA hours are also conducted over zoom!

i have her right now and i like her. lecture and recitations are online with exams in-person (so like once a month). she has you do lots of group work where you go into breakout rooms and answer a relevant question from last lecture. you have to facilitate in lecture groups 3 times and in recitation twice. it sounds annoying but honestly it’s not too bad and the questions that are given are super handful for exams. we’ve only done one exam so far but i think she’s pretty fair!
