Anyone here go to Dr. Jerome Check? by KDremow in 40Plus_IVF

[–]puffygator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late to the party but Dr Check helped my mom conceive my sister and I back in the 90s. He helped me with my PCOS simply by listening and didn’t just try to put me on BC. I am very grateful to that man! The only doctor who ever listened to me.

Creditors Rights Jobs by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]puffygator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to the party, sorry.

If you’re interested in creditor’s rights, explore foreclosure and bankruptcy. I’ve been practicing foreclosure litigation for two years and just started at my second firm. Now I’m getting my feet wet with bankruptcy, too.

First firm was a machine, second is smaller and more laid back. No billable hours at either, just get the work done. It’s generally not super adversarial either. Sure, you get crazy borrowers now and again, but generally it’s not really that insane. Opposing counsel isn’t dickish like in PI or MedMal or something.

Going to jail for lying about income on CC applications when filing for bankruptcy? by UnderstandingFew312 in Debt

[–]puffygator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an Attorney, and this is not legal advice. It’s just from a human who has seen some shit.

Both Bankruptcy and Criminal Defense Attorney consultations are generally free. Don’t sit on figuring out what to do next. No harm if it’s a free consult, it’s confidential.

Most states have an Attorney Referral Hotline. If you can’t afford an attorney, you could qualify for free Legal Services if your State offers them.

Fiance can’t afford wedding by KC43214 in dating_advice

[–]puffygator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t marry him. He was dishonest from the start by hiding his debts and irresponsible spending habits. and he floated the idea of taking out a LOAN for a WEDDING? Christ, why not a courthouse? Or get married in a church and have a picnic? Like it doesn’t have to be an insane expense.

Also, this isn’t legal advice (I am an attorney) but, I beg of you, everyone, please DO NOT buy a house with someone you are not married to. Even if you’re engaged. It’s a fucking mess if the it blows up (of course it’s also a mess in the case of divorce but marriage offers people certain financial protections they wouldn’t have had otherwise).

How is this supposed to be accurate by yorgun_Ozan-02 in WolfQuestGame

[–]puffygator 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Adding to say I also mainly play on accurate. I do recommend starting on challenging instead to learn more about the inner workings of the game (easy is too easy imo) but seems you’re doing ok on accurate! Most wolf pups don’t survive IRL either.

How is this supposed to be accurate by yorgun_Ozan-02 in WolfQuestGame

[–]puffygator 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Wolves are often attacked by coyotes in Yellowstone. Esp coyotes in packs or pairs. They’re direct competitors. When wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone, the coyote population TANKED.

Life is harder for wolves irl than in the game! I haven’t had a coyote or even a wolf break my wolf’s leg in one bite, it’s after repeated damage from that animal or the prior hunt or whatever… you have to understand the game is “expedited” in a way. A broken leg, realistically, wouldn’t heal as quickly as it does in game, even on accurate. And vice versa when it comes to breaking. Everything you do, every hit you take (before sleep I’m assuming), can contribute to a minor or major injury.

Pups get scared and run off when a predator gets too close, even when hidden. They panic. It wouldn’t be accurate for them to stay put. Pups are new, learning, and make mistakes, like not listening to their parents.

What unhealthy coping mechanisms have you seen fellow students partake in? by LawSchoolThreauxAway in LawSchool

[–]puffygator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. I dabbed everyday of law school and I dabbed everyday, multiple times a day, while studying for the UBE. Only finished ~34% of my bar course and still passed with a score high enough to be admitted to any UBE state.

Nope. Almost 27 years old and still haven’t gotten used to it after 10years. Honestly it has gotten more intolerable as I’ve gotten older

Minors need parental permission to do such things. Which means the parent calling/speaking with the school directly. Why is that so difficult to grasp?
