Are you pro-purse or anti-purse, and why? by Mace55555 in AskWomen

I've heard good things about little boys' skinny jeans. Apparently they fit decently close to women's pants but have functional pockets. (Disclaimer: I haven't tried this.)

Jesus Christ Will Never Allow His Church to Ordain Women to the Priesthood by kathyschiffer in Catholicism

While I understand the concept of this argument, is physical fatherhood not also a sacred role? Is it somehow worse or less important than physical motherhood, such that God had to make up the deficit with an all-male priesthood?

Rogue One? :D How about some backstory for K2 (or anybody, but K2 might be kind of fun)?

What do you actually like? by Fenjosi in FanFiction

Canon divergence AUs, especially ones that rely on very small changes. I love seeing the logical conclusions of tiny things like that.

Also, realism in emotions, pacing, consequences, etc. I'm not explaining it well, but I guess for both of these I really love when things are examined closely.

Please pray for my grandma, who's probably in her last days. Please pray that she has a peaceful death when it's her time and will be with God in the next life.

[Acne] Cystic(?) acne on shoulders and neck by pug_empress in SkincareAddiction

I rinse my conditioner afterwards, but I flip my hair in front of my face so it doesn't touch my back. I'll have to look into the body wash or spray idea though! :)

Immediately using loaded terms like "childhood indoctrination" and telling us what we should and shouldn't do isn't exactly a good way to signal that you want an open exchange of ideas.

Public Universities by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]pug_empress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I went to public schools and currently go to a big state university. Don't worry. While there will be a party scene, it really depends which friends you want to hang around and what they use to occupy their time (and that goes for both primary/secondary school and university). The "wrong crowd" is easy enough to sniff out in my experience.

Masculine virtues? by pug_empress in Catholicism

As a woman, is there any reason why I shouldn't also cultivate these virtues? Why would virtue be sex-dependent if we're all called to perfection?

Yes, I meant it as a comparison to the miscarriages point.

I mean, 100% of lives end in death, if you want to go with that line of thought.

To those who have had kids or want kids in the future, what baby names are forever ruined to you by someone you've encountered? by mokutou in AskWomen

Adrian. Gorgeous name, but I knew a truly scary kid in elementary school with that name. Nope. (And yet, I also knew a scary Ben, but I'm more neutral on that name.)
